Is it possible for a damaged tendon to heal on its own?

    Yes, the body can repair damage to tendons. If the tendon was ripped from its attachment point, some medical intervention will be needed to reconnect it.

    Often it has to. The older you are the harder it is to heal tendon. Learn about it yourself as my experience with general doctors on such were a joke. The first few Dr I saw on my plantar fachitis were idiots. Or see a physical therapist or specialist. Stretching at full range of motion, heat. Many people have a hard time healing such a thing because they are lazy and want a majic pill. No majic for tendons.
