Hypothetically, if pulled over on a UK Motorway?

Update:

You should only stop on the hard shoulder in an emergency, if the car is taxed, MOT'd and insured, AND I am responsible for my own safety then I don't have to pull over till I feel it safe to do so, which would probably be the next services. Does everyone agree that this is perfectly legal? Answers from UK police would be nice.

If you are pulled over you stop on the hard shoulder. The Police are permitted to request this.

Failing to stop is an offence.

Pull as far left as possible and put your hazard lights on.

At night leave your sidelights on.

The Police car should be left further out and with all its lights running.

In ANY country, if an officer signals for you to pull over, and you don't IMMEDIATELY pull over, you had better CLEARLY signal that you intend to pull over where you feel safe. At minimum, that would mean activating your emergency flashers, moving the the 'slow lane', and slowing down.

Not sure what you mean. What has taxed insured got to do with it?

You really think the UK Police would bother with this site?
