can i play soccer with stress fractures?
long story short i have four stress fractures in my shins but they aren't bad enough that they show up on an x ray, they only show up on bone scans. They're from track season. My doctor wants me to take five more weeks off which i refuse to do. Since its soccer and not track, it won't be constant running and i can rest during practices and stuff and i can take vitamin d and calcium supplements. I just have to be able to play through the season until mid october. Then i have like almost five months where i can completely rest and heal them. Please don't tell me i'm stupid and should listen to my doctor, i already know that. But sorry i won't miss more than half of the season. Has anyone else ever played/run through a stress fracture/ multiple stress fractures ? Is it okay for me to do this ?
seriously you all keep telling me how stupid i am and ****, we have tons of substitutes so i won't be playing that much and its only for two months, not five. Just two months of light running/jogging/walking. chill out. i know i shouldn't keep playing but you know what u can gfy.

Bl******dy stupid unless you want problems with your shin bones for the rest of your life, OR if they split.
You were told not to for a reason.
That you for gfy, another brainless kid wanting an answer that suits himself. Some of us are grownups on here with common sense.

If you really want to, you can probably push through the pain and play for five months. But it will truly destroy your shins and your college prospects and keep you from playing well in the future.
