I have turf toe, my ? is does anyone know if most people heal from it and return back to sports? I have heard some dont, like Deion sanders?

I have had much improvement in pain & almost full mobility of my toe, I ice & rehab everyday with exercises from my physical therapist , I love basketball & just wish to return to it, will reward best answer, thank u

    You should be fine, but just in case:

    Initial Treatment

    Rest (immobilization)

    Ice applications for 15-20 minutes, several times a day.

    Elevation (to reduce swelling) 2-3 hours a day and at night, if possible.

    Anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen) to control pain and inflammation.

    I suggest waiting 3 weeks to a month before returning in order for it to properly heal.

    Also my toe is nothing like sanders after surgery, its form is completely normal, nothing is growing back in wrong ways
