Sprained my ankle a month ago, is it ok to return to playing basketball or should I rehab to build strength first? Or rest more?
Ankle tends to ache a little when I walk, little sore & little pain & discomfort, feels really good at other times with no pain but that’s not consistent , usually there’s a little pain, my doctor said to wait 3 weeks and it should feel a lot better which it does but he never said I could play so I can ask him but I just wanted some other opinions, thank u, will give out best answer

Boi, if you’re ankles be hurting when you walking you need to keep ice bucketing that stuff. Trust me, i’ve had over 5 ankle sprains on both ankles, developed scar tissue and now they are permanently damaged. Don’t go back until they feel normal. Also make sure to tape up your ankle when playing

Wear an ankle support when playing. It will be weak for some months. Mine was. It saves doing further damage.
