Never paid MSP for 4 years or enrolled and dont owe a dime. Help?
So im 22. Thought that medical was free (i honestly had no idea).. ive never been to the doctors and now i need to for an issue.. so i enrolled, did all the paper work.. i get a bill in the mail for $187 (enrollment fee and first month).. so i call and i dont owe any more than that.. then i hear of people who never paid like my best friend and he owes 1700$..
I dont understand..

You might get a bill later. It's on you to understand the responsibilities of adulthood, so ignorance won't be an excuse. That's why voluntary premiums in a public health care scheme make no sense. It's an extra administrative layer and people will freeload inevitably. Lump the MSP into taxes and solves everyone's problem.
