Kitty trouble!?

So there s this cat, which is my neighbor s. She s a very outdoor cat and prefers to be outside more of the time. So I noticed that she would come around now and then just purring (she s very friendly) and one time she really seemed to be asking for food, she was meowing and hanging around, so I fed her a little milk. I know my neighbor who owns her, but she works a lot and just recently got a little dog, he s quite yippie.. Don t remember what kind but one that doesn t grow big. Anyways, the cat seems to not like the dog as it chases her. When I fed her the milk I had suspected she was hungry and might have been a tad forgotten and felt bad for her. I should have just told the owner without feeding her, because now she won t leave. After I gave her milk that day I gave her cooked chicken meat( leftovers). I have come to realize that i was taking away her attention from her owner. I came to find out she stopped going home in the mornings as she usually did, right around the time I started feeding her. So her owner and I had a good chat, and I apologized, but now she keeps coming back. She tries coming inside, stays in our yard, and nearby yards. Comes up to us meowing when we come outside, comes to the windows and meows, waits at the doors and jumps in the second they open.

    First of all never feed an adult cat milk of any kind. Second, go talk to your neighbor and ask if you can have the cat since its over at your house all the time trying to get inside. Maybe they will let you have her.

    A cat abandoned outside doesn't have a caring owner. The cat can be hurt by other dogs or killed by any passing car. Get her indoors.

    Since this cat is out all the time, but craves attention, I doubt she really wants to be just outside. It sounds like she's not getting the attention she needs at her home and is coming to your house for attention.

    If her owners were giving her the attention she is looking for she wouldn't come to your house.

    Ask the neighbors if it is okay if you pet her, feed her little tidbits, and occasionally let her inside your house. You may find they don't really want the cat. I doubt that you've taken anything away from anyone, in regards to the attention you were giving the cat.

    Why are you feeding a cat is NOT yours? If you make the cat sick enough they have to take it to a vet they can make you pay for the vet bills since YOU feed it. Stop feeding the cat and take it to a resuce insteand. It will be better off there instead of roaming the streets to be ran over or posioned

    You made a mistake, a cat goes where it gets food.By the way, milk is not good for cats,they are lactose intolerant.

    Good chance the cat didn't really want to be outdoors as often as it was then. The cat probably didn't have a choice. That's why it is trying to get inside, it is looking for an owner. Yeah you fed it so it is trying to adopt you.

    So ignore it. It's not your cat and now that you've fed it, it's going to expect something every time it comes over to your place.
