    Yes the cats keep rotating their tail only if it likes you.

    yes some have but It all depends if there's a bond. There's many stories and videos on YouTube u can watch as an example. My cat and I have a big bond because I always find time to interact with him every single day. So when a rabbid dog was trying to go in my house he went after it and chase it away. And then came right back and stood on the front porch till he knew the dog wasn't coming back. After a little while he went back inside and then I gave him a big reward for what he did. He's my little soldier commando cat.

    No. They might defend their territory, or show some displaced aggression, but they are NOT "protecting" their owners.
