Should I buy a 2005 Cadillac Escalade?

It’s has no rust or problems runs and drives and has 230k miles with a 6.0 engine for $1000 is it worth it ?

$1000 with 230k miles is kind of a gamble unless you get at least a year warranty on the vehicle. Your best bet is to have a mechanic check it out and test drive to make sure all the vitals like engine and transmission are running smoothly. Cadillac may be owned by GM but it is a luxury brand. Luxury brand means premium parts that cost more to repair than a plain Chevy. Definitely get it checked out prior to buying! Good luck.

Probably, $1000 is not a great deal of money

The transmission is likely shot. Do you have $4000 laying around? No? Stay away.

With no rust that seams like a pretty good price.

Any $1000 car or any car with 230k is a risk. It could be fine for a year or two. Might need a motor or transmission in a month. You pay your money and take your chances. Having a mechanic you trust look it over is worth it.

$1000 for a running drivable car isn't bad. Still may want a mechanic to check it out.
