How to move out with little money?
I don’t have enough money to break the lease and pay the deposit and rent on a new place. But me and my cats are in danger. My roommate is emotionally abusive and keeps threatening physical harm. I tried calling the cops, they won’t help me until someone is actually hurt. But understand that I love my cats, and am scared for them. I don’t want to wait until something happens to them. I want to get out for their safety, and for mine.
How can I move out with no where to go and little money?

Find family or friends who will let you stay.
Take cats to a shelter or rescue and go stay at a homeless shelter.

Focus on right now and keeping you and your cats safe.
Keep them in your room. This is your space, not your roommates.
If you can, see if somebody will let you stay with them without paying a deposit, like a friend or family member.

There are woman's shelters and the like you can go to but you'd have to get rid of the cats. There is no where that can hold onto them to free, either find fmaily or freinds who will watch them or get rid of them
