2x a day wet food, Half can, otherwise it sits out and could get dry. I also, add 2 T. water to their wet and warm it up for 12 secs. in microwave. Cats in the wild eat meat and it is warm when they catch their prey. I think about the wild cats and is how I feed my animals. They have some dry too.

I give him a cup and a half of food in the morning. If he has eaten all of that, I give him half a cup more when I get home.

Canned or raw food twice a day. They do get crunchy treats (Temptations) or a bite of two of our supper (beef, chicken, etc) but we never leave any food out all day for them to eat when they want.
They are fed breakfast and supper.
If I have kittens under 6 months old they get fed an extra meal or two by themselves. The adults get fed twice a day (total of 1/2 of a 6 oz can for each)

I leave dry food in the dish for my cat to eat when she wants to.
She does not have an obesity problem.
I used to have a fat cat, but limiting her feedings didn't help because she just went out and ate mice. She only lost weight when she was shut up in a room where she couldn't hunt.

Twice a day, they get big fatty meals :) I had to stop free-feeding them, they were putting on too much weight, but now they are good and healthy.

Twice.
Is there something top secret about one's cat feeding schedule that would give them incentive to lie? Weird.
ETA: Warren, I don't give two shiits how many times a day you feed your cats. I just think it's odd that the asker thinks this is something people would feel inclined to lie about.
