I'll go with trolling as most likely, but it's hard to tell from the way the question was posed.

Obviously the APB would provide a detailed description of the offender or the car they're driving, so the answer is yes? Details such as a more specific ethnicity may even be given. There are many ethnic groups under the main country umbrella of Chinese.

What I'll say though is people you are familiar with look more distinct. Our brain is wired to distinguish between commonality. Therefore if you have little contact with Asian people then it's quite usual for individuals of another race to see them as appearing all the same.

Think of it like pigeons in the park. To most of us it's just another bird of that variety. However to someone who regularly feeds them, they can tell every pigeon apart and may even have names for each.

There is even a part of our brain which is responsible for differentiating faces.

Some individuals have a condition known as prosopagnosia, whereby they cannot even recognise their own family members until they speak. That's not you of course, but it is an interesting occurrence in people.

Anyhow, the more contact you have with Asian people, the more easily you will be able to recognise differences in their appearance.
