Why would Russia and Putin want Trump President instead of Hillary, as Trump admits happened?

He didn't want US sanctions on Russia

How would it look to Russia, if he had to battle a woman? Putin has a macho image of himself. He would prefer a man to be his opponent.

Trump stated he wanted to get rid of NATO, Trump was willing to lift sanctions against Russia for its invasion of , Ukraine, he would have gotten Trump Tower Moscow, he launders Russian Mob money through his companies, Tillerson was going to get a Russian oil deal for Exxon

Hillary and Putin had very hard and difficult feelings over sanctions imposed against Russia for the Russian Military Actions in the Ukraine. Putin definitely did not want Hillary to become President and impose more sanctions.

Trump dropped many of the sanctions against Russia and has failed to enact the new sanctions Congress has imposed. Makes one wonder if Trump is paying off Putin for the help.
