Call-out of work?

Hello-

So I received word that my doctor s appointment had been rescheduled due to my doctor calling out, However, this reschedule prevents me from coming in to work when I was scheduled; I texted my boss about it and she has not responded and it has been 24 hours. I m not sure if I should cancel this appointment even though it is very important and show up to work, or I should just keep it and not show up.

Update:

*our primary means of communication has always been texting*

If your boss mentions it, go to the Doctor's as you planned, and say you kept the appointment anyway. If she continues tell her your medical treatment you are getting from the Doctor at this time you would like to keep private and confidential. If she insists tell your Doctor what is happening and he or she will take care of it.
