Memory loss anxiety ?

Hello I'm a healthy 22 year old male I'd say physically but around the time when I was 16 through 20 where very traumatic years in my life I had good and bad things happen through those years but mostly bad such as deaths in my family and friends who took their own lifes & heavy drug use in my family I'm doin okay I'd say now but when I think back on my past it seems really hard to recall certain things I did from year to year Itseems I have an idea of when but can't recall dates and thing's very well... Anyways is it a bad thing that I've forgotten Minor things from my past like the date of me getting my licenses and when exactly I worked on certain jobs what I did for my bday I have very blurry memories if these things... My short term seems good and what I did up untill about a year ago and I still have distant memories before the trama but the trama years are tuff to remember except the tramatic stuff of course but my question is should this affect me in the future like me forgetting is just do to trama it's okay that I don't remember right away?

    Yes. U have PTSD

At the time of the upheavel u did your best to cope in the moment. So now u r out if the mess your brain is coming to the fact it's all iver and return back to it's happiness

Give yourself time. I had the same oeobl only my job. Now I'm out if the horror I'm starting to feel like me again. If u get tired go to sleep. I do and I'm starting to feel good again

You have experienced a lot of negativity and it has had an influence on you.

There are many people who have overcome their traumatic childhoods and went on to be happy in life. Meaning that we are all unique and try to develop more about the things you like doing whether it is a hobby or a job.

If you are nice to people somebody will be nice to you. What goes around comes around.

The past is gone, look to the future.

There is no need to remember.

It sounds like this is nature's way of shielding you from memories in any way connected to your multiple traumas. It's sort of a blessing in disguise.

We tend to prune our memory over time, and find it pretty easy to forget stuff. If you begin writing about your past, talk with a therapist, look through old photos, etc., you'll remember more and more. Your memory sounds pretty normal to me. You're not remembering things you didn't think you needed to remember.
