Do I have a concussion?
Obviously I know only a doctor can truly diagnose me, but I'm not going to go to the hospital, I just want to see what others think.
I was pulling a cord to an air purifier, getting it in position for the night. I pulled too hard thinking it had gotten caught and it comes up and flings me in the forehead, hitting me no more than a centimeter up from right in between my eyes. The grounding metal part (the bottom of the plug) is what actually came into contact with my head.
Immediately it hurt quite bad and I had to pause what I was doing to temporarily wallow in pain. A goose egg the size of a quarter instantly formed as well. About 5 minutes later, I started feeling light headed, almost like I had a shot of espresso or am coming down from a marijuana high (I have no drugs in my system though). It was kind of hard for my eyes to focus on something, almost like they wanted to roll for the first hour or so after it happened and I am sleepy, though I was sleepy before hitting my head too, it's just gotten worse. No nausea or any other tell-tale signs of a concussion though except the lightheadedness.
Any opinions welcome on why this happens, even though I am most likely not concussed. I am not medically concerned, rather curious as stupid as that may sound.
I also have a headache and my head hurts quite oddly when I scrunch my nose. My sinuses almost tingle and it makes my disorientation a little worse for a quick moment. Though all of my symptoms continue to improve as time goes on.

You have a superficial bruise with some swelling. Put an ice pack on it.
No concussion.

A concussion usually requires a jostling of the brain. Getting hit by a small object wouldn't do that. Ice it. You should be fine. If you had a severe concussion -- one that causes permanent damage -- you would know it immediately, because you would be paralyzed and see TV static for what seems like 30 seconds (it's not, just seems like it). I had one and it did damage to my eyesight. I'm the only person in my immediate and extended family with myopia _and_ early onset of cataracts. It was from a childhood accident. Minor concussions are more subtle and hard to detect. It is very unlikely, by your description, that you suffered one.

Without you getting a CT scan done at the hospital, nobody can diagnose you 100% one way or the other, all any of us can do is give you our opinions on what it may or may not be.
Concussions occur very easily, its done when the skull bounces up and hits the soft brain tissue, causing swelling and bruising. This can be done by a blow to the head, it can be caused by whiplash, any sudden sharp movments... any number of things can lead to a concussion.
If I had to guess, I would say you probably have a concussion, most likely a mild one! You are displaying the classic symptoms here, such as headache, blurred vision, being unable to concentrate, dizziness. Contrary to popular belief you don't have to lose conciousness to have a concussion, nor do you have to display all the symptoms for there to be one either.
If you have a concussion there really isn't much you can do, there is no treatment for one! It's a bruise, much like you would get on your leg if you were to bump it! A bruise heals on it's own, there's no medication for it, no surgical options for it either, not much a hospital can do for it. The only thing you can and should do, is keep an eye on the swelling, if you feel it gets worse then yes you go to the hospital and have an MRI done on your head. Swelling on the brain can be life threatning if its excessive, at that point they would relieve the pressure by doing a cranial procedure. However, based on everything you have described, my guess would be this is mild, you aren't in any physical danger, and no need as of now to go down to emerge.
I have had two concussions in my lifetime! First was being on a boat going over rough waves, knocked me out for several minutes, woke up with dizziness and a massive headache which lasted 24 hours. Second one was over a year ago when I bumped by head hard climbing into a car, I had all the symptoms, and they lasted for a solid week before I started to feel better.
There's no timeable for a concussion to heal, every one is different, every person heals different. It may take a day, a few days, a couple of weeks, months even... it just depends on how hard you were hit, where in the head you were hit, and the amount of swelling you have going on.
You'll be fine.

You probably are mildly concussed.
Read the info in the link - it explains what's going on quite well:

I have had a concussion before and I would say you need to go to the hospital. If you have a concussion (or possibly something worse) you need to be properly treated

It could be a minor concussion for sure. Honestly all doctors can do about concussions anyway is tell you to rest and be careful. I would just take it easy for the rest of the day and see how you feel tomorrow.
