Is this toxic behavior?

I am considered high risk for COVID19. I’m immunocompromised and have a respiratory disorder. My boyfriend goes out to buy all groceries and household needs but refuses to wear a mask. I always ask him to and he tells me the masks are “stupid and pointless”. I’d prefer for him to wear it so he could prevent the risk of being exposed to COVID19 in order to protect him and I. He always expects me to do stuff for him that he wants but as soon as I want something, as small as wearing a mask in a public setting amidst a pandemic, he refuses and tells me how dumb my ideas are. I don’t want to be mad at him if this ordeal seems ridiculous so I need help.

I understand your point. But wearing a mask is embarrassing and humiliating. I can understand why he doesn't want to.

The question ought to be do you allow him in your house at all. What he is doing is stupid, reckless, dangerous behavior that could get you both sicker than you've ever been in your life, or killed.

He doesn't sound very bright if he's not concerned with catching (or possibly spreading) this virus.  Especially knowing you have a weakened immune system... If he's not willing to do whatever is necessary to protect you from exposure to it - IMO he can't really care about you, AND it's not a small thing - it's a HUGE thing that he won't do this for you.

(I think it's selfish behavior more than toxic).
