Women in your 40s, do you like your husband?

I'm 48 and I still really like my husband.  I'm still attracted to him, I still like spending time with him.  From talking to most of my girlfriends, I don't get that they feel the same way.  They prefer to vacation with their moms/sisters/girlfriends, they never spend time together when they're both home (one in the living room watching TV, the other in the bedroom playing on the computer). They never go to eat/movies/out for drinks just the two of them.  Are some people truly happy like that?

I ask my wife do you still love me? and she says she doesn't know...

  • how long have you been with your legal boyfriend a.k.a. "husband"? if you've been with him for decades then you're lucky you're still attracted to him. he's probably not some beta simp that lets people walk all over him and that includes you. he's probably attractive as well .... in addition to being financially stable. all that's important in order for a relationship to remain stable .... especially on the woman's part.

vacation with significant other is for romance. Once you get married and have kids, this becomes difficult....vacation with the friends/family is to rekindle those bonds...

Not all women are the same, some have no sex drive while others have a very good sex drive. It may not be what you do before you go to bed but what you do when you're in bed.

Yes, I like my husband.  The "vacation with moms/sisters/girlfriends" is NOT the norm in my circle of friends.

Yes, apparently some people are truly happy "like that."  I'm not one of them.

Your post is more anecdotal evidence supporting my contention that women have a rather short sexual attention span. After the "newness" wears off, they are no longer interested in their husbands, and are putting themselves in positions to be noticed by another male, preferably one that's a "step up" from the current one. It seems that women are not naturally monogamous.

You would have to ask them whether they are happy or not. Good that you are happy being with your husband, enjoy!
