Can we accept and acknowledge that conservatives and liberals have different values and convictions?

What I don't understand about 'conservatives' is their Support for Trump.  - Unless what they are 'conserving' is white supremacy.  Sure, I understand tried and true conservative goals such as smaller government, tax cuts for the rich and deregulation of industry.  And I imagine that a certain number of conservatives held their nose to support Trump in furtherance of those goals.  But at what cost?  30,000 lies, demands of fealty over rule of law, a violent insurrectionist mob - still hell bent on death and destruction promised in every state capitol Jan 20, 4 years of grievance-driven, transactional grift and graft?, a new bar of unseemly nepotism?  The imagined American carnage Trump spoke of in his inauguration pales compared to the destruction he has wrought - To democratic institutions, institutions of government, our reputation on the world stage, not to mention common decency.  He promised to 'drain the swamp'.  But the thing is a swamp may be inhospitable, but is a necessary healthy eco system.  Draining it to pave over half and install a cesspool in the other half serves no one but the contractors hired to do the job.  So it seems to me that anyone aligning to the carnage of the last 4 years really has no values or convictions other than selfish greed with unfettered license to judge others unworthy and treat them badly

In a democracy -- just different views about the policies and the laws which they think should govern us .

Liberals and Conservatives have more in common than most people think.

Extremest on both sides get most of the attention. 

Since the Majority of the Media TV and Social are extreme Leftists, they try to paint the FEW on the extreme right as what all Conservatives look like. 

Meanwhile well meaning Liberals are the idiots controlled by the Left.

CNN contributors and AOC want to reprogram Trump supporters. This means there is already programming in forces and it has been completed on the left wing already

Tolerance is something I practice.  Diversity is not a strength, it is tolerance that is a strength.

Yes, there are UNIVERSAL theories of LAW and property owned by the people, and then - there are others, who are called 'liberals.' Liberals believe if they WANT, then theft from others (except for the liberal others with - a Democrat tax free foundation) is socialist acceptable.

Always been this way. .... this is not new at all ... but balance between the two have worked for 200 plus years now
