Concussion? Or just embarrassing slip?

I kind of embarrassingly fell in the shower today, I don’t remember falling, all I know is I was standing in the shower, feeling almost like a crescendo of dizziness, then I was on the floor with a throbbing headache. I don’t remember falling but it’s been about 5-6 hours and my headache is still present, not as bad but it’s there. I’m also feeling overwhelming dizziness every now and then. Don’t know if that’s connection.

Should I go to the doctor or wait a few days to see if the pain goes away? I don’t usually go to the doctor when problems arise because healthcare is expensive, so I don’t really know if I should go in for this.

Update:

I’m apparently very clumsy, because today I was at the beach, and there was this log, it was waist high and it had the same thickness as a flag pole. I

went to pick it up so I could move it. And as I moved, it spun out of control and smacked me hard on the side of the head, it wasn’t a fake hard hit, I play softball so I used my hips to throw the huge hunk of wood. Had to take some pain meds and I have a doctors appointment soon-ish. I have the actual question in next update cuz no space left.

Update 2:

Should I go in later or stop at a local ER? Later would be fine right? I scheduled the appointment before I made the most clumsy move of my life, so it’s difficult to get it in later.

My head doesn’t really hurt, just a feeling of tension, and dizziness from time to time, but I have some jaw pain. Also called my mom, she explained the shower fall was just low blood pressure probably so it’s fine.

Thanks for all of the advice!!!

    100% concerning

The troubling concern I have is why you fell in the 1st place, people just don't keel over for no reason, it doesn't work that way! You clearly have an underlying medical issue that has yet to be addresed, it could be something very minor or it could be something serious, you won't know until you get it addressed medically.

Do you have a concussion? I would say yes! All a concussion is, is swelling on the brain caused by the skull bouncing up and hitting the brain leaving a bruise. Firstly, your head moved the wrong way, that alone is sufficient enough to cause a concussion, you went from vertical to horizontal. Secondly, you head hit the shower floor, which is a hard surface, your brain would have felt the impact of it, regardless of the intensity of the fall.

This is not something you need to mess around with, you get your *** to emerge right now, not an hour or day from now, but right this instance! There are two things that need to be addressed here, 1) why you fell 2) the extent of damage the fall did.

    Good luck.

Sounds like you had a seizure and then a concussion. I've had over 15 concussions in my life. There's always a blackout phase. I'll remember before and after but the middle is always just a flash of black
