I never saw solar powered stadium lights.

They are solar only to the extent that most power created by solar is fed into the grid which in turn powers those lights.    70,000 watts are needed.  Solar useless at night.

Every stadium is grid connected.  Coors Field where the Colo Rockies play has a solar system that powers a few scoreboards. Others probably have stuff like that, but I don't get around that much.  Like everyone else.Coors Fiels is grid connected.

They use lots of power. one lamp can consume1500 watts.

Stadium lights need to be one mostly when it is ...dark.  So unless you had some kind of expensive power storage system for solar power, like batteries, you would have to run the lights from a line run from the grid.

And no, they usually use 480 V.

Stadium lights require lots of AC power and fed by thick wiring. Not sure if LED stadium lights are used yet but they are much more efficient and probably cost more.

We've had stadium lights a lot longer than we've had any widely-available solar-powered lighting, so I suspect most stadium lights are still powered by conventional power generation (fossil fuels, hydroelectric, etc.)
