am i overreacting?

my mom just got mad at me because i had something on my story with the f-word. and one of her friends somehow saw, and told my mom. my mom realized she couldn’t see my instagram story, thought i was hiding something, and now wants to check my instagram account whenever she feels necessary. i tried to tell her that i just thought it was funny, and the reason she can’t see my story is because i put it to where only certain people can see it (only people i know) because i want to show all of my friends stuff.i can’t tell if i’m overreacting, but i just feel like she’s invading my privacy. what can i do to reason with her? (also i’m of age to have an instagram account)
