    People have different hobbies.

Some people might find stuff that you do complex, boring and stupid.

Role playing requires imagination, creativity and skill to come up with characters, make costumes, and accessories and props.

It can also allow people to socialize, whether it's just doing a live action role playing game with a dozen or more people or just a couple of friends goofing around in a park.

If roleplaying is done by themselves, it's just something fun to do; and some individuals make extra money with a Youtube channel showing others how to make roleplaying items for their own role play.

I'd rather people got into something harmless like role play than join a gang or selling drugs. :/

Why on earth do people eat peanuts? They're horrible.

Er...because not everyone likes the same things. The sooner you grasp that simple fact the happier you will be.

More or less the same reasons we have historical re-enactors.

Why on Earth do people like to eat oysters or watch golf on TV? If you don't like it, don't read it. Pretty simple really.

Because they don't find it boring and stupid like they find you boring and stupid.
