How do paramedics identify and notify family members of a deceased person do they look for an identification card what if the deceased pers?

On can’t be identified what happens then?

    paramedics DON'T, that is not their job.  they may look for info in a wallet (name, address, medical info).  if PD are on the scene they will handle that.

    If the person can't be easily identified, they will cross reference missing persons reports, they can run DNA/fingerprints.

    sometimes they put out a press release looking for a relative.

    It's not up to paramedics to do that, it's up to the police and they can use things like fingerprints, missing person reports, etc.
