What to do with about second dose of vaccine?

I am 66 and was given Covishield (by Astrazenca/oxford/Serum Inst of India). There are some reports that this brand has some problems. Can I take second dose of the same or should I take Covaxin (developed by Bharat Biotech in India)?

The best course of action would be to take the second dose as advised.  Out of more than 20 million people that have received the vaccine, 4 people had brain clots within two weeks of getting the vaccine.  On any given two-week period with a sample size of 20 million people, several dozen incidents of blood clots would be expected.   The risks of the Covidhield vaccine are already known and are extremely small.  The risks from combining two different vaccines are entirely unknown.  When you do the math, two doses of Covishield are infinitely safer than trying a treatment that has not been tested.

The studies performed have all been on both doses by the same manufacturer.  There just aren't studies done where they mix two different manufacturers of the vaccine.  So, it is preferred that you get the vaccine by ONE manufacturer.

Consult a professional doctor as some medications do not mix well with others (even if they were made by the same manufacturing company). Considering the fact that you've already investigated the ingredients of the previous dose, you should do the same with the new medication and see if the ingredients when mixed together are harmful or not. Yahoo Answers is not the correct place to consult drug questions. You should speak to your doctor.
