A can of reddi wip spray whip cream is about a dollar less than a canister of Cool Whip.

I have a steamer and an appliance that make foamed milk for coffee drinks. My granddaughter sometimes uses it to make stiff sweetened foam to use instead of whipped topping. But only if she has already eaten the whipped cream from the aerosol cans.

Maybe one of the spray cans?.

  • Making it from scratch.  All you need is heavy cream, vanilla extract and sugar (heavy cream is cheaper and most people have vanilla extract and sugar already).

Whipping cream is not expensive, I suggest using real cream and whipping it yourself, this is incredibly easy to do and tastes amazing.

Cool whip is NOT whipped cream.  Have you ever read the ingredient list?  I have a strict rule about ingredient lists and cool whip would fail on many counts. If I can't pronounce or it don't know what it is, I don't eat it.  Ingredients with many syllables, I don't eat it.  Long ingredient list - I don't eat it.

I can make whipped cream in a couple of minutes with a hand mixer, in 10 minutes with a wire whip and in a little more than that just by shaking cream in a glass jar with a lid.  And then it's real cream with real nutrition from a real food, not a bunch of chemicals.

It only uses a quarter cup of cream for enough whipped cream for a slice of pumpkin pie.  ALDI has heavy cream in Los Angeles for under $4/quart.

That is just twenty-five cents for real whipped cream on your pie.

How cheap do you want to get?

Just make your own. Heavy whipping cream, pinch sugar and a whisk.

    One makes their own:

    1 cup heavy cream

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Why not use the real thing?  It's by far the most healthful.  Cool Whip is artificial garbage.
