Is this a good workout?
Keep in mind I didn't do any exercise at all before this and have no weights, etc. I'm also obese. Every two hours I'm doing a 5 minute leg workout on the spot and then a 5 minute arm workout. I was very sore after this so it must have been good, right?

Being sore doesn't mean a workout is good. While what you're doing is better than nothing, 5-10 minutes won't do much. You also need to get some cardio. It would probably be better to just get up and walk for 20-30 minutes at a brisk pace.
