Is it abandonment to not see or talk to your child for five years because the Mother wont allow it?

I don't have money to go to court, but the Mother of my daughter is arguing i've abandoned her and she wants to terminate my rights. Her Mother won't let me see her though so I quit trying years ago, is this abandonment though if her Mother wouldn't allow it?

If you quit trying it could be seen as abandonment.  Because you quit trying it is hard to demonstrate that she has been preventing you from seeing your child.  You have single handedly fought yourself into a losing position.  You need to talk to a lawyer before any more time passes.

No, it is not abandonment. Are you paying child support? If you are go to court, and get court ordered visitation rights. If they still refuse, you take them back to court.

You should be talking to a lawyer,

    not asking random strangers for

    advice on something so important.

You in fact should have taken the

mother to court for kidnapping your

    daughter.
