I have been involved with both 1% and non 1% clubs for 30 years or so. I have been a non1% patch holder for 22 years, to a club that has ties to the local dominant club. I am also a Heathen, a Thor's man to be exact. Been that for 20 years now.

  • It looks to me like Johnny Ace, is being made into a Vince clone. What do you think?

Is this a return to the 90's when Vince was the ultimate bad guy, with a stable of wrestler's to do his biding? Or a set up for Vince's return?

  • Don't you find it annoying when a WR or RB quits running?

It doesn't happen in collage, as much as in the pro's. But you see it all the time, a WR or RB just stops running and falls down. A WR will catch the ball, it hits him right in the hands. Some times he is hit some times not, but he just stops running and falls down. Making it look, like he jumped for the ball or some thing. Same thing goes for the RB, he hits the pile and just stops running and falls down.

Now granted, some times the WR do leap for the ball and get hit in the air. But come on, your telling me that theses guys can't jump catch the ball and keep on running.

And RB's, after what Marshawn Lynch did in last nights game. Do you have to quit on a play?

  • Who else is annoyed, that the Eagles games are shown on TV every week?

Every week here in Wisconsin the Eagles have been the games I'm forced to watch. While as a Packer fan, I don't root for any other team. But come on, there are other teams playing in the NFL other than the Eagles and who ever they are playing. I'm getting annoyed, who else is?

  • Rule changes, have they gone to far?

I was watching the Wisconsin game, when the ball carrier was tackled on the sideline. If the ball carrier was out of bounds, it was only by inches. Yet the flag was thrown. It was a very chintzy call. There was no way the tacker, could have stopped.,plus it was a good clean tackle. Players are not super human and can not stop,in a fraction of a second. I've seen this called a penalty, any number of times, both in the NCAA and the NFL. Have the rules changed so far, that players have to defy the laws of physics. Come on, get real.

Plus, taking away a TD for taunting. Okay I can understand fragrant taunting, but something as minor as rising your arms, no.

  • Is the Green Bay Packers defenses good enough, to win Aaron Rodgers an MVP.?

In the 90's it was the Packers defense, that won Brett Favre three MVP's. Reggie White, should have won the MVP's instead of Favre. Brett maybe a great QB, but he's not that great. The Packers built one of the best defenses in the league, around Reggie White. That defense stopped. the opponents cold. Brett rarely had to drive the ball more than 60 yards, often less than 50 yards.

This years defense is great, but has not given Aaron the great field position that Brett had. It's not nearly as great, as the early 90's defense. So can this defense win not only against the Bears, but win the Super Bowl. And can it stay good enough, to win Aaron the league MVP. Also Clay Mathews is no Reggie White yet, but he seems to be headed that way. Can He become, that great a player.

  • Spark plugs, what brand and type are the best?

I have in the past used NGK, or the Harley plugs. But I have not always, been happy with them. Now It's time to change the plugs, on both my Harley and my pickup truck. On the truck, I'm thinking of going with the Bosch platinum +4 plugs. On the Harley, I have no idea.

My bike is a 1995 Harley Road King, with the 1340 EVO.

    My truck is a 1996 Dodge ram 1500 with the 318, 5.2L.

The bike, is a cold hearted *****. I need to run it choked, for a few miles. So I've had, some plug fouling problems.

I've found a few things on the web. But a few more opinions, will always help.

  • Why, do they do that? Why only move, one way?

Ok, here is something that is driving me crazy. I have 4 small rugs, on my floor. About once a week. I have to reposition them, back to the center of the floor. One is in a hall way, one is in the center of the living room. One is in the kitchen and one is halfway into the kitchen. They are also different sizes, some on top of the carpet.

The thing is, they all move the same way. To the south wall, of my apartment. They don't stop, when they touch the walls. They will curl up, over themselves. I walk east and west, for the most part on these rugs. Why, do they only move the one way? This maybe, the strangest thing, I've every seen.

  • What would YOU, do. If this happened to you?

This after noon, I was at a stop light. turning left onto a on ramp of the breezeway. I was halfway through the turn, when I heard tires squealing and a motor revving. I looked right and saw a black tricked out pickup truck. Racing by me in the turn, so hard he almost spun out. Just in front and to the right of me. He then raced past a pickup truck right in front of me, barley in control, almost side swiping it. That pickup had a guy and two young kids in it. This guy never slowed down, as he hit the breezeway, doing well over 100mph. I lit off after him, but by the time I got around the traffic. He was almost gone, half mile down the road. I was doing 100+mph and he was pulling away.

I slowed down, knowing that the Jackson police department likes to radar the breezeway. Sure enough they stopped him. I pulled up behind the cop and started yelling at the ********. The cop called for backup, as he was trying to keep me away from this guy. After letting this 20 or 30 something guy know. Just how far up his a$$ I was going to stick me boot.

The backup arrived, then the two cops calmed me down enough. To tell them what happened. I thought I was going to be arrested, but the cops were cool and let me go. As I pulled away, I saw them put the guy in the back of a cruiser.

Now I'm curious, as to what someone else would have done, in my place. This guy, could have killed not only me. But that guy and two kids, in that other pickup. Sometimes there is no substitute, for a beat down.

  • Is my new radio, drawing more power than my alternator can keep up with?

Here’s what’s going on, Saturday I installed a radio with a pair of speakers on my 96 Road King. I rode around for a bit after I was done. Parked the bike and unplugged the radio’s power.

Today, I get the bike out, go to start it and it barely turns over. The battery is drained, so I drag the booster pack out and the bike fires right up. I turn on my new radio, and head out. About five miles out of town, I press the turn signal switch. And I see the speedometer shut off, for a few seconds, and then come back on. I try it again and the same thing happens.

I stop and sniff around the tank near the cluster, fearing a short. But everything smells ok; I didn’t turn the bike off.So thinking I may have, screw something up, running the speaker wires, I head for home. On the way home the speedometer, keeps cutting on and off. But the bike is running fine. I get home; shut the bike off, look at the radio and the wiring. Nothing seems wrong, so I go to fire the bike back up and nothing. The battery is almost completely drained.

So now I’m thinking some things up with the charging system. I look in the book; go through the trouble shooting guide. And find nothing wrong, everything is working fine. The battery is two weeks old, and was fine before I installed the radio. Here’s what I am wondering. The radio hooks up to the battery. If the additional draw from the radio, is too much for the alternator? I have a 32 amp alternator, I can’t find what the draw of the radio is. So I’m thinking I’ll have to get a higher amp alternator, if I want to keep the radio. So what do you think, am I on the right track or not? Or have I missed something?

  • Do you ride in any poker runs, if not, why not?

ABATE of Wisconsin, is trying to come up with more alcohol free poker runs. Or at least, less bar to bar, poker runs. We had one this last weekend, it was a good time.

If you don't go, on poker runs because of the drinking. Would you go, on a run with out the drinking? What kind of things, would you like to do or see? If you like bar to bar runs. Would you go on a run, that didn't have any, or just a few bars?

    Thanks for the input.

  • Rune carving on a talisman? What runes and in what order should I carve them?

I am making a hammer talisman and a oath ring, for blots and other blessings. I haven't constructed the ring yet, but it's time to charge the hammer. Since I am a Thor's man, I will be using, Thor's power sigils on it. But I feel it still needs, some rune work on it to well, I don't know what.

I was going to visit a friend of mine, at his house. He didn't know, I was coming over till he pulled into his driveway. He walks up to me a hands me a hammer, He had found on his way home, on the road side. That day, at about the same time, I had left for his house. It's a coopers hammer, that's been used. Not the kind of hammer ,you'd expect to find on the road side. I've cleaned it up, but don't know what runes to use to charge it.

I'm going to put a Widdershins Swastika, on the face. For expelling force. A Deosil Swastika, on the right side of the head, to attract force. And a Shieldknot, on the left side of the head as a protective symbol. I'm right handed, so the shield knot will be facing me at all times. I will be putting my kindred bind rune, at the base of the handle.

I know that Thor's runes are Uruz, Thurisaz, Raido and Sowulo. But how best to use them, I haven't a clue. I don't know, how to arrange them. I will be carving, them into the handle.

    Thanks

    Hail Thor

  • Why is it that, some freak out about how dangerous riding motorcycles are.?

When cars, are the single most dangerous thing anyone does. I rarely, hear to not drive a car. When, someone they know gets hurt in one. I do hear that someone hates motorcycles, after their son got hurt on one. But if that same son got hurt in a car, do they hate cars. NO! They don't. Way more teens get hurt in cars, than on bikes. If everyone rode a bike, a lot less people would get hurt. After all you can't put on lipstick, read a book, change cloths, yell at your Kidd's, eat something, shave, be distracted by you friends, have sex, or any of a dozens of other things, on a bike. What, is the irrational fear of motorcycles.?

  • Alternator is charging, at 14.15 is that to low?

It seems I may, have been wrong about the battery. I went to Advance Auto, today. Looking for a battery, they asked if they could test the battery. I was riding the bike, so I said sure. The battery tested good, at 12.72 voltage, 193 cca, a temp of 71f. So I rode back home and got out my multimeter. I tested the alternator and got 13.71 at idle and 14.15 reved up. I don't have a tachometer on the bike, so I don't know how fast the motor was turning. Harley specs for a1340 evo call for 14.3 - 14.7 at 3600 rpm. I've had a intermittent miss in the rear jug at idle, for two years now. Runs great other wise, fuel mileage is the same as it always has been. If I let the rpm's get up on the high side, say when I'm getting on the breeze way, it will cough. I even had it in to the dealer, they couldn't fined anything wrong with it. Four years ago I blew a gasket, hauling myself, my wife and all our camping gear 400 miles up north. Changed, all the cork gaskets and put in copper ones. So I was thinking that the miss and the battery problems, are related. Now I don't think so any more, I ran thru the electrical troubleshooting guide last year. The only thing I didn't test, last year was the alternator. I don't know what the flow rate, should be at various rpms. If you know please let me know.

    Thanks.

  • Looking for your opinion, on bike batteries?

I could not get my bike started this weekend, with out using my booster pack. This weekend was my first, longish ride of the year. But I will be needing a new battery, before I head out of town for long rides. I was thinking of getting a Interstate sealed battery. What I want to know is, what brand and kind of battery you think are best? The battery, I now have is five years old. It gets cold up here in Wisconsin, so I need a battery that can take it.

  • What, do you think about this from USA today?

By Cathy Lynn Grossman, USA TODAY

When it comes to religion, the USA is now land of the freelancers.

The percentage. of people who call themselves in some way Christian has dropped more than 11% in a generation. The faithful have scattered out of their traditional bases: The Bible Belt is less Baptist. The Rust Belt is less Catholic. And everywhere, more people are exploring spiritual frontiers — or falling off the faith map completely.

These dramatic shifts in just 18 years are detailed in the new American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS), to be released today. It finds that, despite growth and immigration that has added nearly 50 million adults to the U.S. population, almost all religious denominations have lost ground since the first ARIS survey in 1990.

"More than ever before, people are just making up their own stories of who they are. They say, 'I'm everything. I'm nothing. I believe in myself,' " says Barry Kosmin, survey co-author.

Among the key findings in the 2008 survey:

    • So many Americans claim no religion at all (15%, up from 8% in 1990), that this category now outranks every other major U.S. religious group except Catholics and Baptists. In a nation that has long been mostly Christian, "the challenge to Christianity … does not come from other religions but from a rejection of all forms of organized religion," the report concludes.

Meanwhile, nearly 2.8 million people now identify with dozens of new religious movements, calling themselves Wiccan, pagan or "Spiritualist," which the survey does not define.

Wicca, a contemporary form of paganism that includes goddess worship and reverence for nature, has even made its way to Arlington National Cemetery, where the Pentagon now allows Wiccans' five-pointed-star symbol to be used on veterans' gravestones.

He's a wretched man, of an evil disposition.

    the one who makes fun of everything;

he doesn't know the one thing he ought to know:

that he himself is not devoid of faults.

    27.

    The foolish man in Company

    does best if he stays silent;

no one will know that he knows nothing,

  • Miss fire in rear jug part 2.?

I'll try a compression test, but I did take the rockers off to replace the gaskets last year. didn't find anything wrong with the lifters or rockers. Didn't take the head off, to look at the valves. I'm not sure but, I will have to replace the battery. Bike would not start yesterday, in the cold. Last year the bike ran good in the cold. But this year it doesn't like the cold at all. ( below 50f.) Seems to run fine, with the choke pulled out. Once I push it in just a little, the motor will sneeze. As I take off, from a stop. Also it will sneeze when just running at about 50mph every once and awhile. ( Note: If I pull the plug wire, for the rear jug at idle. The motor stays the same. If I pull the wire to the front jug, it slowly dies.) I put a new coil on it this spring, and it has one carb. I also sprayed the intake with eather. You also can't change the timeing. Six years ago I had a new cam shaft put in, to lower the torke range. I used to tow a trailer behind, for camping with my wife. The cam shaft caused it to back fire abit more. But not to much more, than it did before. I guess I'll have to pull the motor out and rebuild it this winter. It's been six years and over 60,000 miles since that last time, so it's do.
