In the the Indian scenario how does marketing actually work? lets just take the journalism and printing industry, suppose I started of with my very own fashion magazine. Now what I want to know is how would I go about marketing for it, where will I start from, the kind of promotion it would follow etc .

I'm starting right from the scratch ...soo can use all the right information.

I'm planning to make a small investment of Rs.5000. I want to invest this amt in such a way, so that I receive a certain amount of money every month, sort of like pocket money. Well, I'm confused as in where shall I invest in stock or mutual funds or debentures etc and also, I have no idea about what all companies pay interest/dividend on monthly basis...could really use some help :P

I'm preparing for my 12th std boards for March. I'm a commerce student. Since I have a lot on stake this yr, I want to give my best shot. Always heard people say the key to 100 % marks is

90% smart working and 10 % hardworking , but I guess my balance has lopsided too much on the hard working leaving me highly exhausted yet with average marks. I have no idea how to prepare , what to prepare , in short I'm absolutely stuck. Please help me with some smart tips and tested advices.

I'm planning to start investing in stocks since its very promising. But as we know, to invest in stocks and become a successful trader, if not successful at least a descend trader, one needs to know the working of the stock market ....as in how it works,what are the factors affecting the stock prices etc.

Now, I know one needs to analyse and do a lot of research to figure out the working but i would still like to know what factors i need to observe while learning about the stock graph of a particular company ....and as u can guess i m a complete beginner , so i could really use an explanation with the basic terms:P

I m 18 and by far have been completely aloof from the word investments itself since my family is completely in the service sector and haven't given much of an importance to investments. But i know the importance of it now and I'm willing to take a dip in the water. As I have mentioned above I'm totally new to it and have no idea where to start from, my guesses are i should start understanding the theory first and the working of the capital and stock market ...so can you please tell me

(i) what are the various types of investment(at all levels) and what do they mean ?

(ii) As a beginner where should I start investing from?

(iii) And things i can do in order to understand the market and its working with a better clarity

its my lil brother's b'day 10 days frm now and we haven't yet descided a gift for him. Our options include PSP , PS-2 , Nintendo DS lite etc...and our budget is something around 5,000 to 6,000...even after alot of research my dad is not satisfied with the features of these gadgets...

I need advices as in wat can we gift him ....It doesn't have to be gadgets only ...some else like a puppy will also wrk ! hope u guys can help!

I m 17 and next yr will be the last yr of my school after which I'll have to go to college.

since last 1 yr i have been planning to do a fashion communcation course( in this course they teach u lil of everything styling, photograpy, journalism , merchandising, fashion retailing and graphic designing) from NIFT which is a fairly popular fashion institute in India and then i had planned to do my MBA from some really nice institute then after 2 yrs of job i wud have started my own magazine but nw i m having second thoughts .....I'm not sure of my plans I'm not even sure abt opening a fashion magazine now ....its all so confusing ...now all i kno is i want to go out of india for my college ...get the best education this is alll sooo freaking confusing....I want to stay in a place where i can work peacefully ...earn good...party hard...have a real high standard of living... have all the moral freedom and can be independent ! ! ( i know, it seems like it has directly come out of a hollywood movie :)u can say that... but thats how i want it )....i want to have a happening life with a career in fashion (coz tats something i can never get bored of and can work really really hard for, i mean really day and night )...can u suggest a career and institute from where i can do a particular course(which u may suggest as well) ...thanks in advance to all those lovely people out there!

I have heard that you can lose alot of weight by taking oat meal for break fast and dinner .....just want to know how many kilos can you lose and in what time ?

i hv no time limit but some thing within 7 months would be great.....please suggest me things i can add to my lifestyle to lose this much weight...suggest things that have worked for u....every thing will help ....

the problem is I use a lot of slags when i talk and they even reflect in my written work .This problem has to be solved since i want a more formal/professional language which will certainly help me later in my life. It will be very kind of you ppl if you can suggest me something to improve my language and make it a little more acceptable.

As far as reading books is concerned i read alot of them but not the literary books ...i read work of paulo coelho, dan brown, Dr.Brain wess

and others . And suggestion of some literary work could really help !

vague question i know but i really need the answer...i have commerce and want to persue my education in the field. i have next 1 and a half yr to prepare for the college enterance exam in various colleges... i have no plans to study in a normal college n M aiming for the best universities of the world like harvard and all ....

the silly part is i don't know wat all courses are available for undergrads in these universities all i kno is i HAVE to go to one of them ...hope u guys can help me with it by telling me

1.what all courses are available for undergrads in commerce field in the best universities?

I'm 5'6" and 65 kgs and want to be maximum 55kgs and minimum 52 kgs ... please suggest methods which hv worked for u n r not frm google jus coppied and pasted....n i hv no interest in buying any diet plan or going on extreem diets practically killing myself. n if u recommend gym please add the exercises also!
