  • My dog Rex is having issues.?

Rex is a smart Border Collie/Malamute mix which normally causes no problems. Lately he has been peeing in the house and refuses to go in the back yard.

Five days ago my husband and I found a gas can in our back yard. Neither one of put it there. Ever since then Rex refuses to go in the back yard. He is an indoor dog but I guess he was out there when that happened. He is not hurt in any way but he is fearful of going in the back yard. We have tried forcing him out there (until we put 2 an 2 together) and we have tried treats. Even with us out there giving him treats he refuses to go in the grass he just stays on the cement part.

Does any one know any techniques to get him to go back out in the grass? Since then we put a lock on the gate and watch the dogs while they are outside. I love my dog but we also have 2 more so it ouldn't be fair to walk him around the neighborhood every time we put the other 2 in the back yard.

We live in a city but have a good sized back yard. The dogs are only outside when we are home. There was no signs of gas in the can or poured around or house or our dog. We live in a quiet neighborhood so this is a fluke.

Three weeks ago I had a miscarriage so he was staying away from me and acting out once in a while. This is why it took us a while to think something happend to him when we found the gas can in the back yard.

  • Is this common at 8wks of pregnancy?

I started spotting on Sunday, I could only tell when I wiped. Now it is like the amount of spotting is increasing each day.

I called the dr. and left a message and the nurse call me back saying spotting is normal and so is cramping but if I get persistent cramps that are bad and an increase in blood then call back. If I filled a pad in 30mins go to ER. Luckily it is not the ER bad.

I started cramping Monday night (of course since it wasn't a problem when I talked to the nurse) and the cramps are becoming non-stop all day instead of once in a while. The blood is also increasing but not terrible to go to ER and it is bright read.

I have increased my water intake to about 9 glasses a day since I talked to the nurse on Monday.

Should I call and leave another message or just try to get over it? I don't want to be the anxious first time pregnant woman but I want to put my mind at ease. If you tell me its normal that would work too,

  • Would you get mad if a store or bakery refused to write your child's name on a birthday cake?

Someone tried to sue Walmart because thy refused to put the child's name on the birthday cake. The child's name is Hitler. I would refuse to write certain names too.

  • How to go about buying land in the Hill Country?

My husband and I live in DFW and would like to purchase 5acres in the Hill Country. I know the Hill Country encompasses several cities so bare with me. How would we go about finding a realestate agent in the area? I already tried googling it but none of the realtors had critiques and would appreciate insider help.

  • I was told my right hip shows signs of degeneration?

I was in a bad car accident in 2005 and my right hip popped out of place. I had it popped back in but it constantly pops in and out of place. My right hip hurts now to the point I basically drag my right foot so i went to a chiropractor yesterday because you get in faster. He took x-rays of my right hip and he said I have the hip of an old lady and I am 29yrs. old. The chiropractor wants me to go 3days a week but I can't afford that. What type of doctor specializes in that area? Should I even go see a specialist for my hip?

  • Have any of you had a spouse who is sick a lot?

I have terrible allergies that make me sick about 7 months out of the year. My husband and I don't have health insurance so i can't get the allergy shots I was told I need and tubes put in my ears. I have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD), so I get chronic ear aches that can last months at a time. This is nothing new in our relationship I was sick several time while we were dating and sick before during and after our wedding and honeymoon. I Well the problem is i have been sick since November and my husband is frustrated with me. I have been working and doing things as normal but I sleep alot. It's not my fault we can't afford the medicine I need to get well. He told me he was tired of me being sick and thinks I might be a tad bit of hypochondriac. I seriously stay congested, have ear aches every day and feel like crap. I honestly don't whine about it but I take a lot of OTC meds an he is taking notice.

He told me he loves me but just frustrated. There's nothing I can do so my feeling are hurt and he says Im throwing myself a pitty party cause my feelings are hurt. He told me he isn't mad at me but how can that be if he is frustrated with me?

  • Possible learning disability in 7yr. old.?

My friends little girl is about to flunk 2nd grade. Her daughter can only write when copying something down or told what to write down. The school will not test her for anything unless they are told what test to run and it has to be a common test. They tested her for ADD and she doesn't have it. Is there a learning disability where a person is not able to free write? She is going to fail the TAKS test because of this issue, so the teacher told my friend that she needs to figure out what is wrong with her daughter. Her daughter can spell and form letters she just can't write when she is not told what to rite. I think it is a reading and comprehension problem but I can be wrong. Has anyone heard of this?

  • Parents would you be offended if your chids day care teacher asked you this?

I am a toddler 2 teacher and have a new child in my class. The assistant director told me he has von Willebrand Disease, which is a bleeding disorder. I was told if he gets a scratch we have to call 911 because his blood doesn't clot. I know what hemophilia is so I had a basic knowledge of blood disorders but tonight I researched his specific type. The government website said there are 3 type and the first type is the most common and least dangerous. The blood still has a problem clotting but a scratch usually doesn't mean harm.

Should I as his teacher ask the parents what type he has or should I go off on the little info I was given. I have never had a child in my class that has special needs whether it be health or developmental without being told how to help the child. The child gets dropped off at 7:15 am and does not get picked up until 5:30pm. Me and my assistant teacher have 18 children in our class, so any advice or tips will be helpful.

P.S. TX ratio is 2 teachers to 22 kids. I can't quarantine the child.

  • Should I inform my doctor that I want to conceive?

My husband and I want to try to conceive in March. I have my yearly in two weeks should I inform my dr. about our choice. The reason why I ask is because I am 28 and have been on the pill for 12yrs. I get terrible migraines with my cycle so I have been on seasonique for 2yrs so I only have my cycle every 3 months. To complicate matters I am on an antianxiety pill because i could not handle being laid off in August 2008. I am not working ft and love my job again. I also have bad hips. I was in a car wreck in 2005 and now my hips pop in and out of place frequently.

Am I supposed to share all this with my doctor before I ttc or do most people just wait? I know this is a lot.

Please give me advice and a reason.

    TYIA

Ps. I do not have health insurance right now and my husband and I make to much for me to get gov. assistance so know ugly comments please.
