  • Worker's comp and firing?

First of all I should tell you that it has been about three years since this occured, but I still want some closure on this. I was working at a customer service type job when I developed Tendonitius. I was in the middle of getting treatment when I was fired. I was fired for my attendance, but one of the days that they claimed that I was late...was when I had an appointment for my treatment. I am sure that I can get documentation from the office that I was at. Is there anything that I can do legally about this? If so...what? If it helps I live in Colorado - Adams county, but the company was based in Boulder county. Thanks for the help!

  • How do you open a cologne bottle?

Ok. I know this sounds funny, but I would really like help with this. We live with my husband's grandfather. He uses an extreme amount of cologne and aftershave. We have asked him nicely to tone it down, but he continues to use way too much. It is so bad that the smell fills up our three story house. You can even smell it before walking in the door if he has just put it on. I don't want to be mean and dump it out. I want to try to water it down a little bit. That way he still thinks that he is putting on the same amount, but it's not as bad. It has gotten so out of control that I cough so much that I have to leave the house until the smell dies down which takes about 15 minutes. Please help me to figure this out. It is a simple pump. You can take the top part off, but that just leaves the tube and you can't unscrew it or anything like that. If I had a syringe I might get some in that way, but I don't have access to any. Thanks for your time.

  • Can I take legal action?

I was fired about a month ago due to attendance issues. One of the times that they claimed that I was tardy was due to coming in late on a worker's comp appointment because I didn't have a vehichle and had to take the bus. Is there anything that I can do? I'm sure that I can get records from my appointment backing up the fact that I was there and what time I left.

  • Can I sue if they deny?

I had a woker's comp claim through my job and I just got fired. If they deny me medical treatment can I sue them? It could look like they are just trying to fire me so that they don't have to pay for my treatment.

  • Credit card reward...shopping spree?

I got a call yesterday saying that since I am in good standing with my credit card, I have won a $1000 shopping spree. I just have to sign up for 5 magazines and pay for shipping on them and any online purchases that I make. Has anyone heard of this before? Does this sound like something that I should do? Thanks for the advise in advance.

  • What would you do to help?

We have a dog (Australian Shepherd) who barks at the thunder. We would like to teach him to not bark during the storm. We have tried disciplining him with a slight tap on the head or nose when he barks, but that just makes it worse. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks

  • What mystery book do you suggest?

I want to find a good mystery book to read while I am at work with nothing to do. I like murder mystery books, but I don't like to have supernatural things involved like ghosts etc. Just simple detective type stories with a good plot. Can anyone suggest a book and/or author? Thanks!
