Anyone have romantic Florida trip ideas (on the cheap)?
My hubby and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in FL in February. We are going for a week and have a limited budget so are looking for fun things to do and see. I definitely am going to visit St. Augustine as I've heard that is nice, but was wondering if anyone had any other places we should see that would be good for that time of year (as it's colder) and not super expensive like Disney.
3 AnswersOrlando9 years agoIrregular menstruation while weaning from breastfeeding?
I have had my AF since a month or two PP. It's been really light and will last from a few days to a full week. My DD is now on solids and has cut back to nursing only about 5x per day. Two weeks ago I got my AF for about a week, then two days later it came back and it's been on and off for the past week. For the record, I have POAS and have gotten a BFN so know it's not due to a miscarriage.

I'm looking to buy some photo props such as baskets and newborn posers, does anyone have any recommendations?
4 AnswersPhotography1 decade agoHas anyone tried the FLIP cloth diaper system?
I have been using BumGenius 3.0s for my son, and am expecting #2. I have heard great things about the FLIP and am thinking about switching. I'm assuming I'd need the same amount of inserts (about 24 for two days worth), but was wondering how many liners you would need for the same amount of time as they are supposedly reusable. Would I be safe getting 10 liners and 24 inserts, or do I need more/less? Any help would be appreciated!

9 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoBaby name help, please!?
I am looking for names with strong meanings, such as "noble" "strong" "wise" "gift", etc. I'm trying to avoid common names, but I don't want names that are weird or hard to pronounce. Any help would be appreciated!
8 AnswersBaby Names1 decade ago9 month old baby fighting breastfeeding!?
I have been successfully breastfeeding for 9 months now with not too many problems. All of a sudden, in the past week, my son arch his back and not latch on. I have to literally fight with him to get him to eat. I can tell that he's hungry as he's screaming and signing for food. He's been eating his solid foods okay, but it's just frustrating that he won't eat. Does anyone have any advice?
10 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoFalse labor questions?
So, I'm 38 weeks and experiencing false labor according to my doc. I'm a fingertip dialated and 60% effaced and have been having regular contractions that have been getting longer and closer together since yesterday at 2pm (they were 10 mins apart and 30 seconds long at 2pm, 7 mins apart and 50 seconds long at 8pm, and are now 5 mins apart and 1min 20 seconds long at this point). Anyone else have a similar experience? How long until you went into actual labor? I just hope this won't last for much longer....the pain is only a 2 on a 10 scale and I'm not dialated any more than I was last week which is why it's considered false labor BTW. Any help would be appreciated!
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat was your pain level with an epidural?
I was just wondering, on a scale of 1-10, what your pain level was during L&D if you got an epidural. Also, how long did it take you to recover from the needle injection site post baby?
13 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoQuestion about pain in the 3rd tri?
I'm 27 weeks pregnant and have a lot of pain in my arm if I put my hands above chest level (for example holding a cell phone) for more than a minute or two. I have also noticed that it feels like an organ below my left breast is bruised. I don't know if the last part is from the baby kicking it or whatever, and that pain isn't constant, but should I be concerned about my inablility to hold my hands up for any length of time?
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoExpecting a baby = Bye bye friends?
Okay, maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones making me feel depressed, but I was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat. Prepregnancy we had quite the social life, we had people over to our house or went to other people's houses 5-7 days a week. Then came the first tri where I was really sick and and to exit the social scene. Now that 2nd tri is almost over, it seems like none of the friends I was once close to want to hang out anymore. It is almost as if they are pushing us away because we are going into a different life stage. Anyone else experienced this?
7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoI need cloth diaper advice!!?
I'm expecting baby #1 in March and starting to prepare...I'm a recent convert to the idea of cloth vs. disposable - any cloth diaper mommies out there with some advice on good diapers, etc? I'm looking for the least fuss, least amount of work, best coverage and decent prices out there. Thanks!
10 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBaby name help please!?
My husband and I are having a REALLY tough time picking out a boy name. These are the names we are thinking about, let me know what you think and what would be good middle names (or better first names) please! The names are: Phoenix, Orion, and Elden. We like slightly odd names and our last name is Erickson so it needs to flow. We're trying to avoid a common first name but would be okay with a "normal" middle name. Thanks for suggestions!
10 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoFinding out gender before ultrasound?
I have my gender determination ultrasound at 20 weeks with my OBgyn, and that was the earliest they would let me schedule it. I'm now almost 14 weeks and it kills me to know I could find out if I could just get a peek inside...I looked into doing a 3D ultrasound but they won't do it unless you've already had the 20 week scan so??? Anyone have any other options aside from silly old wives tales? Any places they know of that might do an ultrasound for a non patient, etc?

19 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoSpain, Italy, Russia, or Romania?
My friend and I are thinking of going to Europe sometime in June-Aug this year. Possible countries are: Spain, Russia, Romania, and Italy. Which is the best country to visit at that time of year? I don't want it to be sweltering hot, and I don't have a lot of money to spend. I want a place that is safe, but has a lot of culture and history...?
