I am a young guy loves calculus, and I have done Calculus I & II & Differential equation. I love helping people out, and my interval of helping is ( -∞ , ∞ ) , hopefully no divergence in my interval lol :) . ready to explain step by step. So so so busy these days
how to tell if this constraints is dashed line or solid?
there is an example saying that:
John works between 10 and 30 hours per week at a restaurant. he earns $6.50 an hour, but he can earn tips when he delivers pizzas?
I understand the inequalities but why the inequality here as 10 ≤ t ≤ 30 is solid? it should be as 10 < t < 30.
I am understanding that if we have two dimensions, we make it as a solid, but if it is one dimension, it is open or dashed. can someone agree or correct?
2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoGolden Ratio? is it always from a small piece?
I can tell how to find a phi from a square, which then can be called as a golden rectangle.
but the problem is, i watched on youtube that a small piece can be cut into two pieces. then:
_____________________
A . . . . . . .. . B. . . . . . . C
AC/AB = AB/BC
so i picked AC = 2, AB = 1.1 , BC = 0.9
If I apply the ratio, it won't get close to the 1.6180
another question? do all the rectangles apply to the golden ratio?
thank you all :)

4 AnswersMathematics9 years agoQuestion about the reisdual?
Residuals tell us how our model is a good fit. if we see our residuals are graphed as curved, then our model is not a good fit.
If we see our residuals are randomly plotted, then our model is considered a a good fit.
what if I have a horizontal residuals? do they consider my model as a best fit?
please provide more info if you have.
Thank you :)

2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoSerious Help: Quadratic Inequalities <----- dash and solid lines?
y > x^2 + x - 20 <----- the graph will be dash line
y ≥ x^2 + x - 20 <----- the graph will be solid
both these equations will be shaded inside the parabola
0 > x^2 + x - 20 <----- the graph will be (I don't know: the book and other sources show solid) (not forgetting to exclude the solution; thats right....but what about the graph itself, should not be dashed?
0 ≥ x^2 + x - 20 <----- the graph will be for sure solid
(both these equations will be shaded below the x-axis and only inside the parabola)
3 AnswersMathematics9 years agoI have a question about Cube root Concept:?
(8)^(1/3) = 2
(- 8)^(1/3) = - 2 <----- is this true??????
if so, why wolframalpha doesn't show the real root? is there a trick somewhere?
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28%E2%80%A6
If I have an equation as 3x^3 - 2 = 0
the roots are as the following:
3 * ( x^3 - 2/3) ) = 0
x^3 - (2/3) = 0
(x - (2/3)^(1/3)) * (x^2 + (2/3)^(1/3)x + (2/3)^(2/3)) = 0
(x - (2/3)^(1/3)) = 0 ----> x = (2/3)^(1/3)
(x^2 + (2/3)^(1/3)x + (2/3)^(2/3)) = 0 ---> quadratic equation and I came up with:
- (2/3)^(1/3) * [ (1+/-i√(3) )/ 2 ]
BUT, the wolfram alpha shows in the following link:
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=3x%%E2%80%A6
how they have gotten the complex roots?
if I use my TI-89 Calculator, it won't show the imaginary root for the equation 3x^3 - 2 = 0 ? any idea?
thank you :)
