We both need all kinds of help very badly. I don't know what to do! I work on getting resources when I can (SSI,state medical,free doctors etc.) but I am currently out of options...I lost everything in a fire 2 years ago w no insurance and we were poor to begin with; that huge hit has had us struggling to stay housed and fed ever since. My boyfriend of 5 years Adam is a great worker but noone will hire or keep him, only because of his health issues!! He has gastroparesis. It's like diabetes x 11. He's only supposed to be eating like 25% of what is in your average grocery store and even if he's good he dry-heaves or pukes every morning. It is destroying his teeth, extremley painful. Every month or so it starts a downward spiral that ends in the hospital. He also has anxiety which can set his stomach off real fast. The only thing I can do to help him is remind him not to overeat or eat the wrong things but lately he just hides at his friends house and does what he wants, which is apparently to destroy his body!

I have bipolar disorder, anxiety, anger issues and severe depression. I get suicidal every couple days. It's *always* brought on by stress. I have a blatantly abusive employer, which L&I will not do anything about, and I can't find a better job. I am tired of constantly striving to keep our heads above water financially and, god forbid, be happy, only to be beat down again by some new ridiculous situation. I have been alone many times while suicidal and so far have not had the courage to do it, I think about Adam and my pets at the last second and I cry for 6-8 hours and/or cut instead. I'm afraid sometime soon I will snap. Adam only makes it worse, claiming he has tried to be supportive but I yell at him. I don't remember this. There is truly nothing in my life to look forward to...

We got kicked out of our sh*tty apt recently and were going to be homeless but our friends tricked us into moving in with them for $400, then 1 week later said we need to move out. It's "too much stress". We have lived with them before so they knew what they were getting into! Anyway here we are about to be homeless again. I make about $400/mo but Adam spends half of that on "spice" (pot-like legal substance). He has nothing else to help the extreme pain and constant nausea. The free doctor we go to can only see him every other month and so far every drug we can afford has failed and he goes right back to the spice.

We are not doing well as a couple. I beg him for his help at least with my mental issues but he always has his physical problems to deal with and can't even say kind words. He runs away. He begs me to just leave him alone about his health but with my issues especially I can't just stand by and watch him slowly kill himself and he wont do anything about it!

What can I do to help him?

Should I try to go to college or something despite my issues? Should we break up? We're equally f*cked up I'd say and we can't give the other anything they want or need but we can't afford to split finances entirely either..

I know I have to fight to make things happen but how? What else is there to do please tell me there is some kind of hope please please!

We just had a huge fight 4 days ago. It was because he keeps doing really mean stupid things like taking my bus money out of my wallet (only a few dollars but that makes me late to work!) and being gone half the day at his damn friends house then coming home being lovey for an hour and expecting sex, and more...anyway 4 days ago I decided I was done with it. He just got defensive like always, stated he was not going to change anything, and I said because of that I was breaking up with him. 6 hours after he left again, I broke the f*ck down, bigtime. I tried to be strong and convince myself it was for the better but in the end decided it wasn't worth it, I'd rather try to deal with that level of problem than be without him, he's overall still the best thing that ever happened to me. I called him and he gave me a long list of everything that I do wrong, all of which is true: I have some gnarly mental issues that cause depression and severe anger problems (ask me if I can get help, the answer in this economy is a resounding NO!). Anyway I *begged* him to come back. Shamelessly. My pride could go to hell, and it did.

He reluctantly agreed, we both said we can change things, but mostly me with my freakouts, and we've actually gotten along better than ever...but the last 2 days he's been gone all day. I literally saw him for 5 minutes today, maybe 30 yesterday.

He has good excuses most of the time that make sense, except maybe when he says he fell asleep in a house full of people and nobody woke him up, or he got sick and couldn't come back for a couple hours (he does have a stomach disease but usually he comes home till he feels better..) I don't know. He's threatened to "find someone else" before but only when he's super angry. He *always* gets defensive when I ask him about anything (mostly because he doesn't feel good) but that makes it impossible to judge his reactions... would a guy get back together under an agreement of change and then go cheat cause he really didn't want to??? I have no idea.. please help!

He can't ever save money! Well he can save it for rent, but as soon as he knows there's extra he wants to go out to eat, buy stuff neither of us needs, etc. On this last paycheck my boss surprised me with a vacation I did not know was paid! I have $150 he does not know about. I want to save it for emergencies, but the thing is we have some kind of emergency every month, but we always scrape by... we're soooo poor though; we've had our power turned off so many times and had the landlord gives us "3-day pay-or-vacate"s every other month... he knows it's his fault I think which is why he always comes up with the money, but not till the last minute!

We have alot of debt of course, but I'm afraid if we had a truly unexpected big emergency (like one of the places we owe money to starts garnishing wages, one of us wrecks the car, we get evicted and need a ridiculous down payment to get into a new apartment, the dog needs surgery...) he will not be able to pull it off. Plus the very last time we broke up that was why! We got evicted and neither of us had anywhere else to go, except he was invited to stay at a place where I was not welcome so he went there and I had to stay in hell with my mother for 3 months. I had to beg her! If it happens again I'd rather be homeless. So there are personal reasons too, but if it means getting both of us out of huge trouble I would use it.

I think if the roles were reversed and he pulled money out of his butt to save us, or even himself, I wouldn't be too angry just grateful. What would you think?

I tried Bed Bath and Beyond, Sephora, and Ulta. The only place that had it was the first, and they only sold the whole starter kit ("as seen on TV"); I'm looking for individual things like just the mascara and the eyeshadow. I don't want to order online because of shipping fees! Is there any place who carries it here and is willing to sell me just the eye stuff?

We recently got a 5-month-old kitty, who apparently came with worms (can't say I'm surprised). If I remember correctly from my days at the humane society, they were roundworms that we saw in his stool. We got some meds and I gave him the dose, then he ate his food, but about an hour later he puked it all up, alot! My question is, do I need to re-dose him now? How long should I wait to see if it works, and is the only way to see if it worked by seeing a whole bunch of them in his poo? The ones we saw initially were pretty small so I'm not sure about everything...but I need to know soon before he (somehow) gives them to our dog. = )

An example of what I usually wear is like faded flare jeans and a "guitar hero" t-shirt, 'cause I like tight jeans but not too tight shirts.

BUT... I found these fake-leather pants at a secondhand store and I really liked them for some reason! They look like real leather and are my exact size, which is 13.

I want to wear them with something that will dress them down to the casual level but so they still look cool. Please don't tell me they're "not cool" to most people, as I am quite aware of this already! I think I like them specifically because they're different and I've got the confidence to wear strange stuff like that. = )

What should I wear with them? What would look neat with tight leather pants?

I'm writing a story (suppose it qualifies as short story but it's probably going to end up 150+ pages) where the most appealing aspect other than the plot itself is how realistic all the characters are, with very complex and very different personalities. This is a huge part of what makes the story awesome. = )

Anyway, I need to give one of the female characters a scar, somewhere hard-to-hide like her face. But I have a touch of writers block in this one area; I can't decide what kind of scar (laceration, burn, etc) and a good story for how she got it.

She has excellent martial arts skills, but uses no weapons, and the rest of her backstory is a riches-to-rags tale. She is mentally unstable due to her incredible fall from grace and acquired the art as a means of self-defense from most other homeless persons. It would be great if there was a way she got the scar from when she was in her position of power, so I could use it as a hint before I reveal that fact. Or maybe from something that happened during the revolt against her. She had almost-goddess-like status (there were small groups who thought of her as a higher being) but upon discovering the side effects of said power there were several attempts on her life and she was helped to fake her own death. This all comes to light the first time she answers a question about the scar.

What is a good, visual cue to someone's violent past like that? If it weren't for the scar she would be very pretty and her demeanor is that of a queen. The scar needs to directly contrast that.

Now my mother will kick me out if I see him again,and the friends he's staying with don't like me. After 3 days of not talking to me he called and said he's sorry,he never actually planned on breaking up,and if I hadn't called mom he would have come back to help me just before I would have had to leave. But I told him it's too late. I love him very much and I want to make it work with him but I will not move in with him again until I have enough money to move out too,in case that happens again!

I'm pretty confident I did the right thing there for my own security,but now I have enough to move out and he doesn't yet...or so I thought.

I'd been with this guy for 3 years. Ever since I met him I'd been happier than I've ever been. Only when we fought had there been speculation on whether I was happy because I loved him or because he came in and rescued me from a miserable life living paycheck to paycheck in an RV. I have this overwhelming feeling that I want him,love him and can't imagine living without him! It has nothing to do with our lifestyle. We broke up on the day we were getting evicted from our apartment. Things were the most stressful they'd ever been,as we had not quite enough for another place and the only option was for him to stay with friends who hated me and for me to stay with my mother,whom he and I both hate! I told him I felt abandoned and that started a huge fight,after which he maintained that he"needed a break",and he moved all his stuff out while I cried.

I felt I had no choice but to go to my mother's. Three days later he called me and said he was sorry and he wanted to get a place with me, and that really all along he'd been planning to come back for me at the last minute and help me move out and put us up in a hotel so I didn't have to get my mother involved. But during those three days her and her husband had(resentfully)helped me get my RV out of storage so I could live in it. They tell me now that if I get back together with him they will never help me out with anything again. I know this to be true because when mom couldn't handle me as a teenager she shipped me back to my abusive father!

I love my boyfriend very much. We're in it for the long haul. But the one thing that drives me crazy the most is his night sweats! Every night since he was a teenager, he's been soaking his sheets all the way down to the mattress (which we still use) in what I find to be particularly smelly sweat! There seems to be no way of avoiding it; he uses a big powerful fan and opens the window in the middle of winter and still he sweats so much that it seeps over onto my side too. It's grosssss!

Are there any good products I can buy to aid me in my fight? We can't afford a new mattress in the size he wants, and a crinkly plastic mattress cover would embarrass him. Maybe a pad, made of some super-absorbent material that I can fit into the washer every morning (unlike our quilt)?

Any other tips from people who also live with sweat-ers? I am at a loss, so I'd appreciate it very much!

I found it on a beach on the Pacific coast of the U.S. The glass has "Japan" molded onto the bottom and I believe it has Japanese print on the label, but also English on the top. It says "Suni".

I'm not sure of the proper way to remove all the sea goo and mini-mussels so as not to damage it, so until I do that's all I've got. Of course, I may not bother if someone says "Oh yeah, I saw the same bottles at this sushi restaurant in Seattle a few months ago". I was kind of hoping it came from Japan like the glass floats but I have no idea how to find that out. Please tell me if you've seen it!

I need to keep someone who has a key to my '98 Plymouth Voyager van from making it undrivable by me!

The person in mind has more car knowledge than me, and their goal would be to either make it so I can't drive it anywhere, or to steal it completely WITHOUT f*cking it up so bad that they can't sell it. I can put a "club" on the wheel, but I can't afford to get all the locks changed!

If I could just prevent them from getting to the stuff under the hood, that might work. They won't tow it with a club on it because it will damage the van, and plus their finances are limited also so there would be nothing they could do (?) They have been here once before and taken some important fuse out so it wouldn't start, and it was weeks before I could get a ride to go buy another $30 part! I need that van for work and I don't know what to do. Suggestions welcome!

Unfortunately, I live with two other Yahoo account holders and we all use the same friggin' computer! When I sign in to my email and go away for two seconds sometimes someone else will jump on and sign into their account (Mail, Answers, 360), and then when I come back and refresh the page I become them! It is VERY irritating. I have to sign out and back in every time I go to another page so I don't have to X out of their thing (and vice versa).

I have heard there's a way, by changing some settings or something, to make the internet windows totally independant of eachother so that doesn't happen. Please tell me!!!! I'm not too computer literate, so the more detailed the instructions the better. But thanks for any help you can give!

We just got back from the doctor who says he has early Type 2 Diabetes (still treatable with diet and a pill) and I've heard that can affect fertility in males. He's never had any problems getting an erection, but when he ejaculates (no matter what the circumstances) little or nothing comes out. He says it's been that way ever since he was about 17, soon after a bunch of guys did some serious damage to his testicles with baseball bats. Somewhere around that time was his last prostate exam too, so it's been awhile. We did not have a chance to ask the doctor if it was most likely the Diabetes, some prostate problem that could have developed over 7 years, or the damage done so long ago that has been causing him to not work right and making it so we can't concieve! Does anyone have an educated opinion on this? It's been 2½ years. I have infrequent periods and my doctor said there's not much to be done about me, but what's the next step for him? Is it going to be something unnatural?

They are also called Natal Multimammate Rats, Multimammate Mice, or Common African Rats. The species is Praomys (Mastomys) natalensis.

I could use ANY information anyone has on these guys, especially any websites or articles, with the exception of the ONE I've been able to find myself, by Russel Tofts. It starts out: "One of the commonest African rodents, this is an ideal species..." etc, etc. It's been copied many times.

Please, if anyone has ever actually OWNED these, help me out; I just bought four and I'd like to know how close they've come to being tame, if their bites transmit any uncommon ailments, and especially a good way to sex them (young ones)! Have you ever known or heard from someone(especially here on Y!A) who is a self-proclaimed expert at caring for a certain animal, in other words they have maybe more than one of a cat, dog, rat, whatever and they know everything about them? Have you ever been berated or belittled for not taking good enough care of your pet because you can't afford it or don't see it as necesssary, and your pet is still happy as can be?

I realize there are pet owners out there who do need a good talking to, but for those who are animal lovers and just occasionally ask for advice, does it make you feel bad anyway? That's the sign of a true animal lover if you ask me. Perhaps a slightly inferior home is better than the no-home that so many pets have.

Now here's the big question: Do you think that if you can afford to buy the $40 dog food, and the expensive pet shampoo, and you have no job and spend all your time playing with them, that that makes you a superior pet owner and an overall better person?

Am I missing something here? I don't think the whole voting community is stupid, so why is it that stuff like that keeps getting voted (and chosen) as Best Answer? I see it ALOT.

I mean, I could understand if it was an answer with a bunch of fake credits at the bottom (ie: "professional Logical Thinker Professor 4 years") or maybe just someone to happened to say what the asker wanted to hear (answering the actual question: optional), but this one I don't get! I seriously want to know if someone else does... I sense some foulplay here...

If it's too early for a pregnancy test even, are there any foods, habits, activities, etc. that increase or decrease the likeliness of the "success" of the pregnancy? I've read that even after implantation there are frequent failures, but why? Like is it okay to lift heavy things and handle cat litter? Is there anything one could unknowingly do to hurt an embryo? Thank you for any information.
