I want to pump out the spring pond that forms yearly. It is perhaps 4-8 inches deep. I would need to send it up maybe 1 foot at most and out 100 feet to the street. Would 1/4 hp utility pump do it?

I have one room where the power spontaneously goes out and comes back on again. I've never seen it happen because I sleep in that room and that's about it. I just notice that all of my electronics are affected - the DVD player that I left on will be powered off, my alarm clock will be flashing, etc. It doesn't happen very often but has happened several times now. What could be the cause?

Informal poll. I'm just curious how many people have had the heartworm talk with their vet regarding their cat. My cat has seen a few of the vets at the clinic we currently use and none of them have ever mentioned it. I recently read an article that has me worried though. I will definitely ask when my cat is due for shots. Just curious what others have experienced.

I have some baby yarn to use up and I would like to knit baby hats or blankets and give them to a group that will distribute them. I'm having trouble finding a group that will accept donations with the least amount of effort. I don't want to be required to donate every 3 months, I don't want to be required to participate in the list chatter, etc.. So many of the links on the internet are outdated or dead. Anyone part of a group you can recommend?

There's been a cat coming around meowing lately. Today I brought food out for her and she ate it. She was super friendly so I went to pick her up and noticed her nipples are quite swollen. I brought her inside but now I'm not sure if she already had the litter? I don't want to keep her inside if her poor kittens are starving outside somewhere. I've only dealt with fixed cats before..

There used to be a Holsum thrift shop that sold personal sized Bavarian Cream Pies (similar to Hostess' fruit pies). Do they still make these and are they available in northeast WI?

I tune the tv to channel three, which is where the RF modulator is set. The light on the modulator next to "3" comes on. After a number of seconds the DVD starts playing, for a matter of seconds, and then the connection is lost. This only happens sometimes. Often the DVD won't play at all. What could be the problem?
