  • What will you buy with your Free rebate check?

    Will you buy something big?

  • The great rebate check illusion?

Do you think the rebate checks are not really 'free money' but in a way are a type of forced 'credit card-like borrowing'?...the banks need you to keep borrowing and going further into debt and since you are not, the govt will borrow all this money, give it to you, and you will still owe it someday, and the banks get their wish.....comments?

Is it a great illusion to only keep the banks making profit from you?...I bet alot will go straight to the banks as people use the $800 to pay debts.....

what a shame that it has come to this.

  • Aren't you sick of the status quo of the past 5 Presidents?

Why won't you vote for a true Patriot like Ron Paul?.....This guy stands for individual rights like no other president has in the past 140 years...Do you want a President that will lead the country based on what the Constitutional framework intended? Have you felt truly 'free' lately? Can you recite the Pledge of Allegience and believe every word in your heart?...are you a patriot?

Who can lead the country into a worldly-respectable country again?

  • Will Iran sell nukes to AlQuida?

The US MUST attack Iran because they will sell or use nukes on US interests...This is a good time to do so because the oil price is way too high and wiping out Iran will drop the price of oil and take away the threat of nuclear weapons.....President Bush also has the balls to do it and he is running out of time

Do you think we should wipe out Iran now?

  • Mortgage rates will now drop alot...?

I am excited about the Govt's recent activity to save my home fron recession....It would be easy to be the Fed chairman job..all you have to do is move rates lower when the economy looks flat lined and raise them while everything is going great. Anyway, now that the Govt has dropped the interest rate by a half percent, how long will it take until it gets easy again to refinance and lower the mortgage payment? I think the good days are back and homes should start building equity again. it should also be easy to get credit cards now that homes will shoot back up. Can I get some equity money at cheap rates going forward? After all, if the banks get loans for less cost, then we can expect this rate cut automatically...I can't wait, I want to shop til I drop and will put the goods on my CCard so I can pay later., I love free/cheap money!...lots of deals still out there.

  • Do you plan on using bailout money for your mortgage?

I think it is great that Bush is going to bailout the homeowners that have been ripped off by the mortgage industry. These crooks have taken money from folks that just want to be a part of the 'ownership society' by owning their homes. Will we be allowed to get grant money for the exorbanant excess finance fees already paid by the reset interest rates? I think the mortgage companys should at least have to pay it back to us that have had resets. Do you think the govt can help us with the credit card interest rates that are also a rip-off? These banks are filthy rich on our backs of labor and owe us a refund and more normal interest rates going forward...

    what do you think? thanks

  • Bank Run at Countrywide Bank?

I went into my branch of Countrywide in Ca yesterday and everyone was taking out their money because they said that the mortgage dept part of the bank was about to go into bankruptcy and the assets may be frozen. Cops were everywhere and alot of men in suits around. I was caught up in the moment and also took all of my money out...even though the bank is FDIC insured, I thought it may be a long time before I actually got it back so I got it now....Is the Banking system about to experience a crisis because of the bad mortgages? I was wondering where all of my deposits were being invested and it sounds like the banks used it to back mortgages...thoughts?

  • What is causing mortgage rates to drop?

I would like to hear your take on why this is happening . For 3 straight weeks, interest rates have been dropping on 30yr mortgages. My rationale : I think they are falling because the mortgage lenders do not have enough demand but an over-abundence of capital from foreign countrys as the USA keeps buying more imports than selling the world stuff, and its causing another imbalance where the countrys are running out of places to invest.I also think it's further proof the housing bubble has popped.....I suppose many here will say it's going to be good for housing as there is no 'bubble'. I'd still like to hear from you.

  • Warning signs? Crash? or am I a paranoid fool?

GE's stock price action as demonstrated on this chart shows a 2year series of lower highs and lower lows as plain as day. This is a sign of stock weakness...GE is a stalwart of the US economy as they have businesses in various industries, like Aerospace, Finance, Consumer goods, Insurance, etc and is a reflection of US economy....take a look at this chart and tell me what you think(if you want to anyway, no answer goes unchecked)...Is the Economy in the USA as strong as we are told? Is a "great depression 2" in the making?

  • Are you prepared?

This chain of events seems more and more likely:

    1)Israel keeps hitting Lebanon

2)Syria is dragged into the fighting

3)Iran runs right through Iraq and into Israel

4)USA is bogged down in Iraq and military draft is started

5)Saudi Arabia and Egypt govts are overrun by their population in support of holy war.

6)Israel gets paniced and starts dropping nukes in Iran,Syria

7)North Korea sees this as an opportunity and strikes Japan and they literaly run over South Korea .

    8) Russia and China abstain and the US feels overwhelmed , dropping nukes on NKorea.

9)China retaliates by closing shipping to USA. Prices of goods in USA go up 300% overnight.Oil goes to $200 per bbl($12.00 gas and rations) .

10)All commerce is halted, the interest rates in USA go to 35% and the nuclear war comes home to USA as Nukes are by then flying worldwide.....

How would you prepare? would you just give up? would you overthrow the US govt?
