has anyone tried the brain balance center?
Robert Melillo has written a book about The Disconnected Child and has opened Brain Balance Centers in the US to help children with Autism. If you've spent the $6,000 to have your child evaluated and trained at one of these centers, I'd like to know the long term outcome. Did it make a difference: If so, what is the net value?
Thanks.

Not just the retro beehive hair and makeup but the clothing she wears is rather unique to her. Who/what is the male equivalent to that look?
7 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoTaking Tennis Team to USOpen: Which day would YOU go?
I'm considering taking mixed doubles tennis team members to USOpen 2008. Some team members have never been before.
Would you go day 2, 4, 8 or 10? What's the better learning opportunity: watching mismatched pros in short decisive matches or watching the top 10 players on center court?

If in fact Connors has left Roddick, he may be looking for his next prodigy. Which top 20 player would benefit most from coaching from Jimmy Connors?

This is the first season when I didn't agree with the judges choice.

I'm considering this product for an advanced beginner child.
Is it helpful or frustrating to use? Will the size be too big for a child?

This is for you, Syed Akla!
This link shows that 3 men have won the French Open (in the Open Era) at the age of 26: Lendl, Nastase and Costa.

It's a great list for tennis fans.
4 AnswersTennis1 decade agoAre you irritated by the number of bad line calls by line judges?
Bad calls have always been part of tennis but with the advent of Hawk Eye, it doesn't have to be. What changes should be made about over-ruling a bad call to be fair to players?
5 AnswersTennis1 decade agoWhat is the origin of the intense gesture of bent-hand-to-face?
The Australian fans do it and players (most notably L. Hewitt) do it, too.

Couldn't go back to sleep after that one! Federer let it go to 8-8 in the 5th set...
How serious is this "chicken flu?"
5 AnswersTennis1 decade agoKohlschreiber the future #1?
I've been waiting for Nadal to take the crown but there are some very good players coming up the ranks. Kohlschreiber is displaying very good technique (similar to Federer?) and excellent point construction (similar to Federer?).
He beat Roddick despite Roddick's attempts to pull out all his tricks.
Who is your pick for the future #1?
10 AnswersTennis1 decade agoAustralian Open: Favorite Commentator?
Martina Navratalova is excellent. Her command of the English language is better than most of the other commentators. She impresses me.
Patrick MacEnroe (sp?) is always excellent. I appreciate his history with some of the players as the Davis Cup captain... He is fair in his assessment of all the players. He doesn't state the obvious.
Some of the Aussies are interesting (great voices) but I have to admit, I don't understand all of their language (English, Aussie style).
How about you?
8 AnswersTennis1 decade ago"Bisque" in tennis... How do you employ it?
I understand that a bisque is a handicap -- one point per set. Can you describe situations when it is employed?
In my imagination, it ought to be used to equal the play between 4.5 and 5.0 players. I've never experienced a bisque offered or even discussed. Bisque is defined in the tennis encyclopedia but described adequately enough to understand fully.
Can you describe its use today?
Thanks you!
1 AnswerTennis1 decade agoIf you had to choose between a week in the Hawaiian Islands v. Thailand, which would you choose?
This is a choice I am facing for summer 2008; we are travelling as a small group, adults and children ages 9-14. Goal is to build lifetime memories and to see beauty unseen in North America. I have only a few summers to show the world to these kids and grandparents. Too much to see; not enough time/money. As a group, we usually prefer active vacations over staring at the ocean.

2 AnswersGreen Living1 decade agoHow do I get all My Groups on the same "My Yahoo!" home page?
I am the moderator of 2 groups -- which I started. On one, there was a button (near the bottom of the page) that offered to add the group's page to the "My Yahoo!" home page. On the other, no such button appears. I'm not sure how I got the option to appear the first time -- I think it just did on its own. I'd like to see all of my groups on the same home page. How do I do it? Thanks in advance!

2 AnswersTennis1 decade agoWho likes the new Wilson (K) Factor 6.1 Team Racquet?
I've been using this new Wilson racquet (strung w/ Wilson Reaction) for 1 month and love its "bite" and "touch." I miss the punch-power of my Head Flexpoint and Head TI... Because the Wilson gives me accurate drop shots and slices at the net, I am continuing to practice with it. The logic being: ultimately, I win more points and therefore, more games. Still, I miss the "power" I had with more former racquets. What can I do with my long (baseline) strokes/technique to get that power back and continue to use this amazing new Wilson 6.1 racquet? Are we forced to choose between touch and power? I'm a female doubles player.
