  • For new real estate agent, how important is the proximity to broker's office?

Hi, I am a new real estate agent in California. I am looking for a broker to join. How often do agents have to go to office? Does proximity to office have to be a criteria for picking a broker to hang your license and how important is it relative to other factors--fees, commission split, etc. Also, is an office required at all. I have interviewed with a broker that does not have a physical office. Thank you for reading.

  • Flower shop versus convenience store?

I know those are two very different choices. But, I am looking for a small business and I have come across two businesses that are low investment and low rent. The convenience store is located in the downtown of a small town and the flower shop is located inside a busy train station.

  • How do wholesale car dealers make money? Especially in California.?

I am laid off and have some liberty at my hands to try out some business. I am attracted to becoming a used car dealer. In California you could become either a retail or wholesale car dealer. I am not quite sure how the wholesale care dealers make money and whether they make any significant money.

  • Israel versus Gaza--Who is to blame?

I came across this today. What are your thoughts on it?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A recent statistical analysis by three academics (one at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one at Harvard and one from Tel Aviv University) found that an overwhelming majority of lulls in violence since 2000 (when the second intifada began) ended when Israelis killed Palestinians, sparking renewed tit-for-tat violence. According to Nancy Kanwisher, Johannes Haushofer and Anat Biletzki, "79 percent of all conflict pauses were interrupted when Israel killed a Palestinian, while only 8 percent were interrupted by Palestinian attacks." The pattern was "more pronounced for longer conflict pauses. ... Of the 25 periods of nonviolence lasting longer than a week, Israel unilaterally interrupted 24, or 96 percent."

  • LG Dare versus Motorola W755?

I did not buy the Dare for my wife because of fear that the screen might crack easily. She stuffs a lot of things in her purse. W755 seems much more solid.

She doesn't text too much and is not very tech savvy. I have 30 days to return the W755. What do you suggest and why?

    Thanks.
