Transformation and Dilation equation plug in?
How do you algebraically prove that a certain point (say (-5, 0) on the pre-image f(x)) transforms in correspondence with:
g(x) = image (translated and dialted)
g(x)=1/2 f(x-5) +6
Just plugging the value in doesn't work. I have the points on the graph to check the algebra once I figure this out, but I cant seem to figure out how to do this.
Thanks!

9 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHot Tools Spring Irons - Do they break easily?
I am looking at getting a Hot Tools Spring Curling Iron.
I have read that the springs tend to break on them, although I know they come with a few replacements.
How bad is it? Is it hard to fix? I think the these irons look like some of the best but I'm afraid to buy something if it is just going to break.
Experiences? Where to buy replacements? Any in sights?

2 AnswersPDAs & Handhelds1 decade agoCingular Blackberry without purchasing internet?
Is it possible to use a blackberry on the Cingluar (or any) network without buying a data package?
What I really mean is can I get a blackberry from them (like a Curve or something close) and not buy a data package?
Or are directly purchased smart-phones only able to be used with an internet package?
Just to use it for the contacts, texting, calendar, etc.
Anyone know?
Thanks!
4 AnswersPDAs & Handhelds1 decade agoWhere to put your purse at dinner?
Here is my question:
One of my purses is a little arm bag, so it isn't long enough to go over my shoulder, I just keep it on my arm on in my hand.
When i'm at dinner, where do I put it?
I can't hang it on the back of the chair, it isn't long enough/won't work.
I get paranoid putting my bag on the ground or next to me, I feel like someone might take it because I don't have total control over it.
I also can't put it in my lap, its a little bit to big.
What do I do?
Thanks!
7 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHe competed with the Hapsburgs for dominance:?
1) He competed with the Hapsburgs for dominance:
2) He was the only leader who united warring factions separated over the issue of religion. Of the same choices who was it?
A. Philip II
B. Louis XIV
C. Frederick I
D. Peter the Great
Which one is it? I put B. Louis XIV on both of them and I was wrong.
1) Philip II was a Hapsburg (kind of), and I REALLY don't think that it was Peter the Great. So was it really Frederick I? That doesn't make sense to me.
2) I don't really understand, could it really be Frederick I as well?
Explain please! Thanks!
