  • I'm having trouble deleting emails from Yahoo Mail?

When using Yahoo Mail in a browser, there are emails that I 'm trying to delete, but they won't go away. It will look like they have been deleted, but then a little while later, they're back. I'm having the same problem in both Firefox and Chrome. I don't see those emails on the Yahoo Mail app on my phone. How can I permanently get rid of these emails?

  • I need help with a file conversion.?

About 20 years ago, I had a Smith Corona word processor. I have some spreadsheet data saved that I created with that machine that I'm trying to access. The file type is .ssf, but I can't find anything that will convert the files into something I can use. Does anyone know of a tool that can convert these file to Excel format?

  • Four Days in Vegas?

I have four days in Las Vegas coming up in a few weeks. I'm trying to come up with some sort of an itinerary but there's just so much that it's hard. One thing I know I'm doing is going to see Cirque du Soleil O. I would like to get people's opinions on their top things to do, see, and eat in Las Vegas. If you had four days, what would be on your itinerary?

  • Can you help me with my Yahoo Mail inbox problem?

I have Yahoo Mail constantly open in a tab in Firefox. If I delete all the mail from my inbox and then then a new e-mail comes in, it doesn't appear where you would see what the e-mail is. The inbox folder will indicate that there is new mail, but the list of e-mails is blank. If I click onto another folder and then back onto the inbox, the new e-mail now appears. As a temporary solution, I have been leaving one e-mail undeleted, in which case new e-mail shows up in the list without me having to click out of the inbox and back. How can I fix this issue?

  • Hotel suggestion in Chicago?

I need a suggestion for a nice place to stay in Chicago. It must be within walking distance of the "L", because what I want to do is park at the hotel and use the train system the whole time I'm there. The most I'd like to spend is $150/night, and I'd preferably like to be at $125/night or less.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Question about free syrup with My Starbucks Rewards?

I have a Starbucks card, and I'm at the green level. To get free syrup, do I need to tell the barista anything like, "Hey, I'm supposed to get free syrup with this," or do I simply pay with my card and I'll get it automatically?

  • Teaching conversational english in Spain?

I once read about this place in Spain where they get Americans to go and stay for a week at a time helping Spanish people learn English. Basically, you just spend time speaking to the people in english so that they can learn the language. I'm interested in this place, but I can't remember the name. I think it was called "something" town, with "something" being a person's name. Can anyone give me the name of this place?

  • Walking in New Orleans at night?

I plan on going to a Hornets game this season, and I'll be staying at the Wyndham on Baronne St. I intend to walk to the game. The distance doesn't bother me at all, but I'm concerned about walking through the wrong area after the game. Should I be okay, and is there a specific route I should take or avoid?

  • Internet Explorer question?

A while back, I upgraded to IE 8. I keep getting messages on different web sites that I am using an older version of IE and need to upgrade. I'm not being hindered in navigating these sites except for getting the messages about upgrading. I have confirmed that I do, in fact, have IE 8 installed on my computer. Why do I keep getting these messages, and what can I do to stop them?

  • Why does a high pulse disqualify you from giving blood?

I just got turned down to give blood because my pulse was 107, and apparently it has to be between 50 and 100. What is the basis for disqualifying an otherwise qualified person from giving blood because of a high pulse?

  • At an airport, why do people go to the counter at the gate?

Every time I fly, there's always a line of people waiting to talk to someone at that counter at the departure gate. I've flown many times, and only once have I ever needed to go to that counter (it was an odd case of a ticket being changed from one airline to another, and it wasn't done properly).

At this point in your trip, you have already gotten your boarding pass, checked your luggage, and gone through security. What are there people doing? What issues could they have at this point?

    I've always wondered about that.

  • Question about iced coffee?

I need some input from people who work or used to work in a coffee shop.

Now that the weather is hot, I like to order iced coffee at my local coffee shop. The last 2 times I went, they poured the coffee out of a plastic jug. When I asked them about it, they said that this is the way they usually do it, even though it was not made this way before these last 2 times.

Is preparing the coffee for iced coffee normally done in advance and is that coffee normally just stored for later use? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't coffee something that should be consumed while fresh? Am I being cheated and/or lied to by the people at my local coffee shop?

Just a note in case it matters, both of these last 2 visits to the coffee shop happened when the shop had just opened, so anything stored in a plastic jug had probably been there overnight.

  • Top Answerer Leaderboards?

When and how often are the top answerer leaderboards updated? There are three categories in which, by my count, I should among the top 10 answerers (Travel (General), General- Travel (General), and Health & Safety). I've noticed the top contributor tags are updated on Mondays, and here it is Monday morning, but no update to the leaderboards.

I live in a third floor apartment with a large oak tree next to my balcony. I don't have any flowers on my balcony. Would it be worth it for me to get a hummingbird feeder? Would they actually visit it?

  • Problem with vertical, black lines on LCD TV?

On the right side of my TV screen, there are 3, vertical, black lines. One of them is about 1/4 inch wide and the other 2 are smaller. What is causing these lines, and what can be done about them. My TV is a Westinghouse 32" LCD (model W3213) HDTV. I've had it for about 10 months.
