  • Cutters, friends of cutters...help please?

    Ok, attempt # 3

Ok, quick survey. First, thanks for your honest answers.

    1. Who here has cut themself, or has a friend/friends who cuts?

    2. Is this a form of stress relief?

    3. What first caused you (or your friend/s) to try cutting?

    4. How many of you have told an adult?

    5. If you haven't told an adult, what is your biggest hurdle in doing so?

    6. Do you want to stop, and if so, what have you done to re-direct your stress relief?

    7. How many of you have tried online sites like recoveryourlife.com to cope with cutting?

    8. If it is not too personal, what are your ages and sexes?

    9. Do you listen to emo?

    10. Is it stereotyping to ask if you listen to emo, or is it true there is a link between this type of music and cutting?

Wow...I know, a lot of questions! Guys, thanks again to anyone who is sincere & will take the time to answer these questions. I am doing a paper for a class, but I genuinely would like to learn more about this.

  • I go to court tomorrow morning. NOW I know you can't pass through an intersection.?

But can anyone state case law or anything that might help me? I passed a vehicle on a long straightaway that was marked with dotted lines (I assumed that this meant I could pass, but apparently NOT!) As I passed, I went past a paved state road that "teed" off with the road I was on. Apparently, no matter how the road is marked, you are not allowed to do this.

No, there was no traffic, this is a small rural area, the only other vehicle was the one I was passing. He called me in!

I was probably doing 5 mph over the posted speed to get around him.

My biggest question is this: Where is the state's responsibility in marking the roads correctly? I was informed these lines are merely suggestions, that's why they are yellow!

Do I have a leg to stand on if I claim they have responsibility, too?

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

  • Would any atheist/agnostic agree to...?

take a leap of faith tomorrow (national day of prayer) and just give yourself an opportunity to believe, say a small prayer, and ask God to give you the insight to know what is the Truth? I mean, if you're right....if there really were no God, then no harm, no foul. But imagine if you found something that you never would have known?

Ok, ready to be slammed now.

  • Is my son unreasonable or not?

My 17 year old son is upset because after he gets done with a two hour football practice, works four hours at his job, gets home at 9:30 pm, all after going to school for seven hours, that I don't have a hot meal ready for him.

After an 8 1/2 hour job myself, a lot of times I'll come home and play on the computer, and sometimes I want the family to eat leftovers.

He doesn't want to have to get anything out of the fridge, or warm anything up himself.

    Your opinions are wanted.

He and I are watching for your answers.

  • Personal experience with grape seed extract?

Good or bad, looking for info on grape seed extract; just started taking it for help with cervical dystonia/muscle spasm/overuse. Have had pain for 2 years, really tired of popping NSAIDs, RX painkillers, considering botox.

Anyone who has personal experience or a doc/nurse with opinion, please help.

  • Is there an easy way to use the heat escaping up my flue ?

We have a fireplace w/insert, but surely there is an easy way to catch and re-use the heat going up the flue. Also, we have a propane water heater, and the amount of heat going out the exhaust is enormous, surely it can be used somehow... thanks for any ideas!
