Modern air travel is so painfull now with poor service, immigration snake lines, security snake lines.

Then being cramped up for 20 hours.

I know lots of people who have been there, nobody has been exctatic.

The "fly" thing, which nobody will talk about.

The Australian ad which I just watched on TV showing Ayers Rock, does'nt do it for me. Fly all the way over there and drive a thousand miles to look at a big rock?????

The Great Barrier Reef sounds excellent.

My cable provider "Rogers" in Canada, says that all these special channels are HD, which I am paying for.

I am assuming that of the 3 settings on my HDTV, normal, stretch and Zoom. The Normal setting should provide full screen HD if a network says it is so.

Why is that not the case? Many "so called HD channels" have the vertical bars up the sides.

We will take hime to the vet if he doesn't recover in a day or so.

The TV Manufacturers claim pure HD from DVD (blueray I guess), but never mention the TV network signal.

I have read hundreds of questions about this. VW issued a recall jan 11, 2001 for the O2 sensor. (which makes the check engine light come on.) Golf, Jetta and Beetle 1999, 2000, 2001.

They just issued a recall for a defective hazard switch. Get the switch done and ask if your O2 Sensor has been done.

I was there 5 or 6 years ago and amazed that such an important historical site for Texas and America had been allowed to decline and to be so poorly presented.

When compared to other country's major sites, such as the Tower of London, the Louvre, the palace at Versaille etc. The Alamo was not being preserved nor presented with the dignity which it deserves.

I'm hoping that has been improved since I was there.

My wife's VW Golf was in and out of the shop to shut off the check engine light. A couple of days later it comes back on. We finally gave up, so the light has been on for a couple of years.

I had an Acura that had sensors on the brake ABS system. One in each wheel. Three went out, $200 x 3 to replace the sensor. The timing belt sensor went out, another big bill to replace that sensor. The car is OK, the sensors fail like crazy. Who needs the sensors.

If anyone can tell me how to turn off the "check engine" light in a VW Golf. You may save my life.
