I was at LAX on Sunday - along with hoardes of irritated passengers who couldn't get to Hawaii. The airlines had to cancel flights due to the earthquake and loss of power at the island airports.

They were taking their frustrations out on the hapless gate agents. It isn't THEIR fault that an earthquake interrupted any plans to go to Hawaii.

But, this is a common occurrence, something happens with a flight, and the agent takes it in the shorts. Any ideas why we (as a society) can misdirect so much anger and feelings of entitlement?

Am I the only one who gets stuffed up on only one side, depending on the side I am laying on? If I lie on my left side, my left nostril gets congested, and vice-versa. Aughhhh!

I really go out of my way to work with companies that make it easy for the consumer. A live person who answers the phone, a definite chain of command (as opposed to a call center which may, or may not, be located in the US). Anyone else feel this way? I will pay SUBSTANTIALLY more for a product or service that is customer oriented, not dollar oriented. Opinions?

No idea of fast-lane usage, and they never let you by. I have LITERALLY seen drivers doing 45 in the far left lane. ARGHHHH!

People can't count, we have already talked about spelling, now when you go to a bank or other retail service, no one knows how to do anything manually if the computers are "down".

I have some very marketable skills, as well as a Bachelor's Degree ... but every job wants X amount of experience. Very frustrating.
