  • Was I wrong to be honest with a customer?

I work in a manufacturing facility. A customer has given us a new product line. One of the things that has to be done is to get an inspection machine serviced and programmed. The customer is aware that I am working on getting it serviced. The company that will service it told me today that we are on the schedule for the end of next month. Our new customer asked me today about when the machine will be serviced. I told them we are on the schedule for the end of next month, but I will try to get it moved up. So I emailed the service company to ask if they could get it done sooner if possible. I CC'ed the customer so they could see that I am following through with our conversation. My boss and a few others told me I was wrong to CC them because it is none of their business. I am really confused why people are upset about this. The new product delivery date is in August. It s not like the equipment won't be serviced until the end of July. Was I wrong to be honest with the customer? Should I not let them know that I am following through with their concerns?

  • I have a dilemma at work and need help deciding what to do?

I have been working at my present company for over five years. A few months ago I was told by the new owner the place was moving. The new location is 100 miles away. When I told him I can't move for two years he said to commute. So, I found another job with slightly higher pay and better benefits.

The dilemma... he asked if I was seriously leaving? I said yes. He than asked me what would change my mind? I said leave me here for two years then I will move to wherever he needs me to go. He said no to that. Then he asked me what is keeping me from moving now? I told him it's financial. My car will be paid off in about a year and a half. Another large personal loan in two years. I will still have my house payment but it's less than $400 a month so, not a big deal. I told him that if I didn't have the car payment and the other loan (the two are about $1200 a month) I could rent something or buy another house. Understand, this guy is kind of cheap. He cut out our Christmas bonuses, took away all overtime, won't hire anyone else and has not given me a raise in three years. BUT, he offered to pay off my house and the personal loan if I move to the new place early next year when our current lease is up. Not as a loan, but as a gift. The new job I think is a better opportunity. But, how do you say no to someone that is that surprisingly generous?

    Please help me to decide?

  • Should I keep it?

I was in a guitar store to buy a new guitar. They did not have the one I wanted in stock. I asked where the guitar was made and they told me it was made in the USA. So I had them order it for me because I was in no obligation to keep it if I didn't like it. After I left the store I looked up the guitar online and found that it was not made in the USA. I called the customer service line and cancelled the order. I got an email cancellation confirmation. This all happened on 9/6. On 9/11 the guitar was delivered to my workplace, that is where I wanted it delivered. It was shipped on 9/9 according to UPS. I checked my credit card and I was never charged for the guitar. I know that if you get something you never asked for it is free. But, I did order this but I cancelled it. I got a cancellation confirmation two days before it was shipped and I was never charged for it. So do I keep it? Take it back? Wait to see if they contact me? It was $899.

  • What is the average size of a natural gas deposit in the USA?

I ask because a co-worker is claiming that a gas company has contacted him and they said there is a gas deposit under his property that is 200 Trillion cubic feet in volume. Does this sound true to you?

  • Are all Filipino women selfish, or just my wife?

I am an American married to a Filipino. My wife goes crazy if I ask her for one dollar, (not an exageration). She yells and screams at me and tells me I am a bad person and a bad husband. She says she is going to leave me because I can't support her if I ask for money.

I told her everything about me and how much money I earn long before we married. She said several times I was lying to her and she knows I am really a millionaire. I made it quite clear about all my finances. She even saw everything because I had to send all my financial papers for the visa.

By the way, she does not work. I provide her with everything she has ever asked for and I have never told her no. I even paid off the loan her family had on their land there and bought them a new motorcycle so they could start a business. My wife says I never do anything for her or them.

So please tell me if she is typical of all Filipino women or is this just my bad luck to get someone so obsessed with money?

  • For anyone in Butuan/Libertad?

I am coming in September or October to see my wife, she is in Libertad. I am thinking of surprising her but I have never been to the house she lives in now. Is there anyone that could meet me at the airport and guide me? I would be grateful and I would pay for the service. My other plan is to have her meet me in Manila so I don't lose a day with her. Just thinking about it right now.

  • Currency Exchange?

Is there a place to do currency exchange at the airport in Manila when you arrive from an international flight? I know there is a place in the international terminal when you are leaving, but I don't remember seeing anything when you arrive.

  • Why do so many non-americans ask questions to try to make americans look bad?

I see so many questions from people asking, "why do americans...?" and fill in the blank with anything bad.

Why are you so obsessed with us and why do you feel the need to denigrate us? Explain that .

  • How long after a spouse dies should you wait to get married again?

I remarried after 7 months. My late wife and I were getting a divorce when she was diagnosed with lung cancer and died 6 weeks later. I stayed with her until the end and I was with her at the moment she died, the rest of her family was not around to be there with her.

6 months later I met a woman that is everything that I ever wanted. We got married. Now the anniversary of my wifes death is coming in a few days and I am feeling very guilty about getting married again.

    How long should you wait?

  • How do you divorce someone that lives in another country?

I am married to a woman from the Philippines and I live in the USA. How do I get a divorce? She turned out to be just as bad as all the rest of the women I have known. Petty, jealous, and posessive.
