  • Boss threatened to fire me out of the blue?

I m a paralegal for a partially retired attorney in New Mexico. I ve never had any big issues with my boss and have always bragged about my job security since I work hard to the point of coming on on days I ve tried to call off sick, holidays and weekends at his request. Fourth of July just rolled around and I party a little too hardy and wasn t feeling well by the next day so I called off. My boss called me but I had poor reception so I didnt get the call until later. In his first message he claimed my excuse wasn t valid and in his second call he said he would have to replace me if I didnt come to work.

I get one day off a month that stacks every month but he doesnt like it when i use them consecutively so I tend to use them as they come. I did come in to work but, he wasn t there. I did my work and went home but I ve been worried, should I get a new job?

  • Dog Barking, Does Not Stop!?

I have a dog that barks constantly. What a the reason? All of them. He barks at people outside, he barks for attention, he barks just because as sometimes there is no definable reason. I tried training for years, he s about 10 years old and I ve been trying through most of them. I used to hate bark collars but after years of no success I finally got one; and you know what? He could care less about it. It worked for a couple days before he started ignoring it. I went and got a sound emitter, the ones with the high pitch noise and he ignores that too. I am at the end of my rope, any suggestions, like, there are no wrong answers.

  • why is my black capped conure distant toward me?

I have a 7 month old male black capped conure. I also have a year and some months sun conure. I read that black capped conures tend to be very affectionate and playful, but he only wants to cuddle with my sun or sit in the window. I have had him for 6 months. I got him from Petco (don't start, I saved him and you can say what you will about pet stores) and he doesn't dislike being with me, but he's like, serious bird is serious. He has a clean bill of health. I haven't trained him much since his wings were clipped too short by the breeder and I don't want to frustrate him too much, we have very short sessions mostly with things he knows like step up. I don't need him to like me, as long as he's healthy and happy, I'm just wondering if this is common or even why.

  • First Boyfriend?

To start I m 23 years old, due to a strict family, I was unable to get a boyfriend until now. A high school friend just asked me out yesterday. I accepted, he had asked me out in high school but at that time I rejected. I don t know if I still consider him a good friend or more, I was pressured by my sis as well as other outside sources to accept. I feel I probably should have waited to see if I could see him as more. At this point I don t know what I should do, he is the brother to another really good friend so even if I did break up with him now I don t want to lose her, because she is also friends with my only other friends and they will likely side with her and it will likely lead to my sis not seeing them either since she would disagree with me, but still side with me. Should I simply ride this out and see if anything comes of it? I likely would be able to break up with him but remain friends later on. Basically any advice works. Please no negative comments, you don t know me, don t assume things on your own.

  • Sun conure rough grooming?

I have a sun conure that's about 8months old. I hold him all the time and he likes to groom me often, unfortunately his grooming can get pretty rough. I have two moles, one on my shoulder and one on my chest, he's decided these must be ripped up violently! He's almost ripped the one on my chest off! How do I get him to be more gentle? I don't want to reject him.

  • Neighbor trouble.?

My mother recently went to the hospital due to a stroke. She has been there for about 5 days and should be getting out soon, but we re not sure when. Her dog has been outside since then because no one is there to let him inside at night and outside during the day. My sister and I check on him everyday and make sure he has food and water and is comfortable, recently we received a note from an officer about him barking at night. We went to the neighbors to inform them of the situation and help calm things down but most everyone said they don t hear the dog bark. After contacting the officer he said it wasn t about the dog barking, he was just concerned that he was left outside when we usually let him in and after letting him know he said he understood. One neighbor however has been complaining non-stop. She is further from us than other neighbors who reported not hearing the dog. I ve explained my moms situation but she refuses to understand. On top of that, the hospital keeps moving here release date back so I have no ETA for her release. What should I do to make this neighbor shut up? She says they may call the police whom I ve already spoke too.

  • Murdered soul suspect final map?

So I picked up this game and loved it immediately, I wanted to go through the story so I decided I wouldn't try to hard to collect the collectables until after I beat it. I have just beaten it and I want to go back and collect the things I missed, but if I continue my game, I'm at the final map and he won't leave. Is there a way to leave and just explore? Or do I need to start a new game?

  • How to move away from a controlling parent?

I would like to start by saying that my mother isn't as controlling as many of the others I had read about. She's just controlling enough to make my life empty and feel very pointless.

Due to the text limit, I can't tell you everything but I'll give you an overview. I'm in a constant state of cleaning, even though the house is spotless, according to everyone but her. I only get to spend a few hours with my sister once a week. I am a serious gamer, but I only play twice a week for an hour and even then she accuses me of being addicted. I am forced to get my nephew from school 5 days a week even though it's clear neither of them ( as in my mom and his mom) want to do it, which means after I get off work I can't do anything else. Due to my extreme seclusion I have no friends (literally) thus no possibility of a roommate. I have never had a boyfriend due to my lack of friends and she keeps trying to set me up with people who will make me more like her. I'm 22 and make a little over minimum wage, but not enough to live alone since I work part time and have class

My sister is helping me to move out, she's letting me move in with her, I tried it once but I still love my mom and she used that against me by guilting me, and now I want to try again. I'm scared that I will fold like I did last time and so I wanted advice on how I should approach the subject again. Also, should I wait until I'm finished with community college at the end of the year, or try to do it in a few months?
