the sower
Former professional fighter. Professional ring announcer. Manager, defense industry. Believer, 26 years. Full time minister of the Gospel. Son, Husband, Dad and Grandpa. God asks me to sow the seeds of faith, so that is what I do. I trust Him to bring in the Harvest! To me, a thumbs-up and a thumbs-down are the same thing. Both are requests for prayer. I pray for the giver of every thumbs-up and the giver of every thumbs-down just the same. I do not need to know their needs or their name, God knows and that's all that matters. God bless you.
How did the "Father God" style prayer that is so prevalent among believers today get started?
It seems to me that it started about 3 or 4 years ago. Now I hear so many people pray that way. I am trying to understand why. They will end every sentence of their prayer with the words, "Father God", "Lord God", "God" or "Lord". Jesus gave us the example of how we should pray when He gave us the "Lord's Prayer". He did not end every sentence this way, so why has it become such a fad to pray like this, using "Father God" like a punctuation mark?
I personally find it very annoying, but maybe I just don't understand.
How did it start?
Why pray like this?
Thanks.

5 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoDo you think the "Book of Life" and "The Lamb's Book of Life" are the same book?
In Revelation 20:12 it says, "And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."
Obviously, "The Book of Life" is opened, but what about the other books that are opened, is the "Lamb's Book of Life" one of them?
I'll share what I think later.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor those who commute to work, how far do you drive one way to get there?
If you work at home, congratulations, you don't have to answer. I only want to hear from those who drive themselves from home to work.
Thanks.
By the way, I drive 4 miles now. I used to drive 38 miles, but one day I asked myself why?
10 AnswersCommuting1 decade agoWhy do most questions go to voters to decide?
Why don't the askers select the best answer?
This would stop the guys with 20 email accounts from voting repeatedly for all of his own answers and stealing the best answer from someone who is more deserving.
If you ask a question, select the best answer yourself.
