Good fabric glue for stretch denim?
I need some good glue that will hold small rhinestones onto stretch denim shorts. It's for a Halloween costume, and I used an all purpose glue for some and they fall off when I put the shorts on. Any ideas??
4 AnswersHobbies & Crafts10 years agoNew "Alone" by Heart cover?
I heard the cover for this song the other day but can't find it online... I found one where a girl sings the chorus and a guy raps for a bit, which isn't the version I heard on the radio... Help :)
1 AnswerRock and Pop10 years agoMoisturizing under eye cream?
I have noticed that the area under my eyes has been very dry lately. My concealer kind of clumps up in it and looks gross, no good! Does anyone know any good creams for that? I am only 22 so I don't need any anti wrinkle stuff, and I don't have dark circles. I just need a good, gentle moisturizer (the skin there is quite sensitive as well). Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoChecking spelling online using a MacBook Pro?
Alrighty, so I used to be a PC girl, and now I have converted to Mac (thank god!) But I'm still figuring some things out. So I have a MacBook Pro, which obviously has just the one big button/finger pad thing for a mouse. No right click. So if I am typing and a word is underlined, I used to right click on it and a list of properly spelled words would come up. Is there a way to do this on my Mac? I have used a mac at work for months but I have a mouse so I can still right click... any help would be much appreciated! :)
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoIt's my recent Ex's Bday today, should I text him?
Well, we broke up just under 2 weeks ago. We didn't date long, just a couple months. I broke up with him and I don't think he was very happy about it (understandably). We talked about getting back together but he decided not to. Anyways we have not talked much since except one time when he texted me asking all these questions and I tried to call him the next day and he didn't want to talk. He was being hot and cold and moody and thought I was mad at him (I wasn't but he couldn't seem to understand that). Hahah ok, anyways, it's his Bday today, and I want to send him a simple "Happy Birthday! :)" text, mostly to show him I'm not mad at him and that I do want to be friends, or at least on good terms. I'm just worried he will take it wrong, since he seems to take a lot of what I say wrong... advice? Oh and just for the record, we're in our early 20's. I will probably not run into him or see him around.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoSome great country songs!?
Hey everyone! Some friends and I are going to the Calgary stampede in July, and I have a few country songs that I plan to burn onto a CD for us to listen to on the drive there (14 hours from Vancouver to Calgary..bahhhh) but if any of you country lovers have any great songs to recommend to me I would love to hear them! Anything fun and upbeat really, I'm not picky :) Thanks!
9 AnswersCountry1 decade agoLaw regarding ownership of something?
Ok, there is a bit of a story behind this. This whole incident happened years ago, but it is something I have always been curious about. I dated a guy for a short time a few years back. We both moved out of the city we grew up in, to separate cities for university (the Cities are still pretty close though, within a few hours drive from eachother) Anyways, we broke up shortly after, and I went home because I was pretty sad about it. While home, I found out he cheated on me, and was understandably angry. A mutual friend of ours had his digital camera which he had left there when he moved. Said mutual friend gave it to me, because he was angry with my Ex as well (not the first time this guy had fu*ked around). Being the immature jerk I was at the time, I took it and he found out. At first, I said I wouldn't give it back, then the next day I realized I was being stupid and told him he could come by and get it whenever he wanted. Like I said, we lived in different cities, but he drove through my city sometimes to go home and visit, so it wasn't out of his way. So about 2 years passed and I never heard from him regarding the camera. I came across it while moving and my mom asked me about it. I told her it was his but he never claimed it. She took it home to give to my brother (I have my own camera now) and when she tried to use it, found it was broken and threw it away. It was an older camera so it probably just wore out. I never really used it, it just kinda sat around my house.
So, my question is, if you have something of someones, you tell them they can have it back, and they never claim it, is there a point it becomes legally yours? In this case, it was a cheap old camera so I'm not worried about him saying I stole it and pressing charges or anything, but say you had something worth more, for a long time, and it's owner never claimed. Is there a point you could sell or get rid of it legally? What if it is something big and annoying like a car or TV, and it's taking up space? You don't want it, and they won't pick it up, can you get rid of that? I have just always wondered...thanks! Sorry for the length of this one :P
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhat type of taxes are charged on someone with a Working Holiday Visa in Australia?
I am planning on traveling/working in Australia for maybe a year or so (not sure yet) and I am wondering what kind of taxes to expect on my income. I am planning on working in a bar or restaurant, maybe retail. By the looks of it, I would be earning $15-$20/hour (correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what I have seen around the internet). Just trying to budget everything right now! Also, will I need to get an Australian bank account to have money deposited in while I'm there? I am from Canada if that's important. Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Australia1 decade agoPotential problems with one way plane tickets?
So I am thinking of doing some traveling in the fall, thing is, I don't have any idea how long I'll be going for so I would like to either get a one way ticket and purchase a return ticket later (I would have money set aside for it) or purchase an open ended ticket of some sort (I hear they are expensive). I am planning on traveling throughout Australia, and I'm from Canada. I would be getting a working holiday Visa. My question is, would there be a problem with me only getting a one way ticket. I'm worried they will think I'm going to try to stay illegally or something since it will look like I have no plans to return to Canada. Has anyone done this or heard of anyone doing this and having/not having problems at customs? Thanks!
3 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoWorking/Traveling on the Gold Coast in Australia?
Hi! I am currently living in Vancouver, Canada, and am considering moving to the Gold Coast in Aus for 6-12 months in September to work and travel around. I am just looking for any tips or opinions about doing this. I would be getting a working holiday visa. I am 21 years old, and would be going by myself. Is it easy to find short term/temporary work? What about temporary housing, since I would stay mainly in one place, work, and travel on days off/weekends? What areas of the Gold Coast are the nicest? I have worked doing Marketing Promotions in Vancouver, so are there any Promo Rep companies in Gold Coast? If you happen to live there and wanna help me out, I would love to chat with someone about it! Thanks everyone!

3 AnswersQueenstown1 decade agoMoving to Australia? Probably Sydney?
Alrighty, so I am currently living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I do love it here but I'm seriously thinking about moving somewhere in Australia in the fall, probably Sydney but I'm open to suggestions. My question is, what's it like there? Living expenses, environment, employment, wages, people, culture...pretty much anything you can tell me I would like to know. I went to school for Marketing and have experience in retail and promotions, so I would probably be looking into that kind of work. Maybe hospitality or restaurant work as well. So ya, if you live there or have lived there, tips, info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
4 AnswersOther - Australia1 decade agoKind of like sleep walking but not really?
Ok, so this is the third time this has happened in under a year. What I do, is I wake up in the middle of the night and look at the clock (my cell phone is my clock and alarm) and for some reason, no matter what time it actually is, I think I'm late for work and have to get up. So I do, I go to the bathroom and turn on the shower. Two of the times I have come to my senses and realized it was not time for me to get up and didn't get in, but one time I actually got in the shower. It is kind of like sleep walking, because I am not thinking logically and am always really confused and rushing to get ready. I also tend to see the time as being some weird, nonexistent time, like 1:90am the other night (I actually get up at 6am but I think I have to be up at 1:90am for some reason). I remember all of it though, very clearly. I know they arn't dreams because my room mates have heard me getting up and turning on the shower late at night. This has always happened on normal nights, I was never drinking or on any drugs and I'm not on any medication. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what this may be or what is causing it? Haha it's not a big deal, it just kind of ruins my sleep, especially when I actually do get in the shower and have to sit around drying my hair at midnight :P
1 AnswerOther - General Health Care1 decade agoPowder vs. Liquid Foundation?
So I have always used liquid foundation. I have freckles but not like cute little freckles that everyone (including myself, hehe) wants. Mine kind of just make me look blotchy and uneven. Like I have 2 different skin tones. I have been finding lately that my liquid foundation kind of washes me out, and does not cover up the freckles. It almost looks gray :S Anyways, does anyone have any recommendations for this? I always thought powder would come off pretty fast, but I may be wrong. I don't really care to completely cover my freckles, I just want my skin tone to look more even.
So the question is- powder or liquid? Also, any good tips for brands and products that work especially well will be greatly appreciated! I have fairly pale skin btw. Thanks!
4 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoFeeling crampy and bloated for a few days now?
I am not on my period and am not pregnant (at least I hope I'm not!!!) but I have been feeling kind of crampy for a few days. Just my lower stomach hurts, nothing else. I am generally a really healthy person, I work out a lot and am in good shape and eat well. My eating habits have not changed at all. I'm 21 years old. Not sure what this could be... I think I'm gonna pop by the clinic after work but if anyone has any idea what this could be I would love input! Thanks!
3 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoGood times in Vegas for Ladies?
I'm going to Vegas in mid May with two girlfriends. I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips or places we need to see! Also, we are (obviously) wanting to do some clubbing, so any club recommendations as well as tips for how to surpass the lines would be much appreciated. Thanks! Oh and we're all in our early 20's (all legal)
6 AnswersLas Vegas1 decade agoLaw for having a certain amount of cash?
I read an article in the news today about people being arrested for having $90,000 in cash on them. I am just curious what the exact amount you are allowed to have on you is? I know if you have this large of an amount in cash, you are not doing anything good with it (haha just buying a new BMW! No big deal! With cash..) But say hypothetically you had this much money legally and wanted, for some reason, to keep it in cash, what is the legal limit? I live in Vancouver, BC but if you know the law for your province or state, I would be curious to know that too. Someone told me that after $10,000 the police will investigate it, but I was wondering if there is a specific legal limit, assuming the cash is legally obtained and to be used for legal things. Thanks!
PS. I don't actually have this much money that I want to keep in cash, just curious :)
5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIf you move to a different country, can you switch your Virgin Mobile Phone plan to that country?
I am thinking about buying a phone from Virgin with a 3 year contract. Thing is, I may move overseas within 3 years (I live in Canada, thinking of moving to Australia). Aus does have a Virgin Mobile network so could I switch my plan and number to Aus but still be in the same contract with the same phone? Thanks!
