  • What is the name of this Korean song?

Hi, last week or so I heard this really nice ballad type of song on a Korean radio, and I tried copying down what I could hear, but there was too much noise for me to find it.

I was randomly watching Star King videos until I found the same song (seems popular, so this might be an easy catch) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFtj-rRUBTo from 0:37 to 1:03 playing in the background.

    Thanks for your help! :)

  • No growth spurt during puberty?

    Hi, I'm 14 years old.

If it's a significant detail, I'm Asian too.. I am 5"2, quite small for someone my age. (For Asians, it might be average, but even some Asians at my school are tall.)

But even though it seems I'm progressing puberty normally, what worries me is that I don't think I've ever had a growth spurt. From 5th-6th grade, I've been about 4"11.5 (or 4"11), and my current height right now -- as I am starting high school soon (in a month and a half or so) -- is 5"2. That makes it about 1 inch per year, or 1.5 which is still nothing compared to normal rates -- 2 inches or 4 inches per year. I've never had a sudden growth spurt, I've noticed.

I'm feeling worried because I always felt short. My sister, whom is 19, is 5"3 ish - 5"4.. an average height for a girl, but I hope I can be a little taller.

My mother is about 5"0, my dad is about 5"6. Is it possible to outgrow them both? And is it possible to have a growth spurt at my age? I just turned 14 last month, June 18th.

    Maybe some more details:

    - Period not stable.. it started April last year. I miss it a couple of months all the time, meh.

    - Arm hair has started to grow recently?

    And the rest is alright..

  • Can Audacity do this..?

Hello, I'd like to ask if Audacity or any other free [quality] audio editors can do this kind of filter on the music::

Please listen all the samples (since I'm might mistaken them for something else)::

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC6REhy5L38

(Good example here, from 0:30 - 1:04.. the same thing is throughout the whole song)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gc75dMUGX4

(The first like, 3 seconds. It's the first line that the she sings)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGDxk4dE_CU

(First 25 seconds.. I'm not sure if this is the same effect, but it might be)

The kind of thing I'm asking is what makes that headphone-ish effect? What is its name?

If the effect can't be done in Audacity, what other audio editor can? Preferably, I'd like it to be free or have a trial/demo version, and enables you to record from a microphone.

    Thanks!

  • Lovely Complex Volume 17?

I was just curious, what happens in the last volume of the manga? (Vol. 17) Is it the 3 chapters called "Lovely Complex Plus", or is it something other than that? (Which I'm hoping >_<)

I'm not asking for spoilers (but I wouldn't mind it), but just asking whether it's those 3 chapters on what their lives were before they met and a little after.

  • Vegan: Souplantation...?

Hello there, about a week from now I'll have to meet my cousins (that I don't think I've ever met) and we'll be eating at Souplantation for dinner. But here's the catch: I'm vegan!

Now, before we get along to what I want to say, please keep in mind I'm really, really bad at going to places that are non-vegan. Souplantation MAY be a little lenient on that whole vegetarian thing, but even so, I'm not good with going to places like that. I don't know, but perhaps I make everything too obvious and I can't suppress my feelings enough, but I guess you could usually tell when I'm mad or disturbed, for that matter.

My sister and mother is also going, but that's okay for them. It's great for them. They're vegetarians. They can pig out on most things there. Lucky for them, yay. But I can't, and I'm not going to make this occasion for an excuse to eat eggs or dairy. No, no, no. I'm not that easy to slip on my feet with veganism.

Thing is, I checked Souplantation's website and they fortunately label the things there that's vegan. However, I'm not exactly the group of vegans who enjoys eating salads. Especially without any dressing.. and the other foods they listed don't seem all that great, either. I doubt the vegan foods listed are even available at the Souplantation I'm going to.

Maybe I should just eat beforehand and pretend I'm eating there? Which is actually a pretty good idea, but a good pile waste of money. I can eat a lil' there.

Ah, last time I went to Souplantation's for my sister's birthday, I had the beesssstttt dinner ever. Potatoes! I don't even know if they were vegan for that matter. Oh, and throw in some water here and there. Some tomato soup, which I didn't know if it was vegan or not. But at the end, I ate some bread.. which was probably non-vegan. But I was extremely extremely hungry at that time I even resorted to that. Of course, I'm not that un-dedicated to veganism than I was before, so I won't be making the same mistake again.. I had a stomachache afterwards.. I'm pretty sure I did.

    So, help?

    >:

Anything that won't make me seem rude. I was thinking of baking my own vegan stuff and eating scraps of it there, but er, I don't think that'll work.

And, what do I do about my unhappiness with going to non-vegan restaurants? We can't change it.. ):

  • Putting ice/water near a computer.. YES.. OR NO?

Hello there - apparently my sister just won't believe putting the ice cooler/ pack (IMAGE HERE; http://www.cooler-store.com/images_templ/cooler_ic... ) do ANY harm to a laptop.. when it gets hot, my sister places an ICE PACK under the LAPTOP.. and USUALLY at the place where it's the HOTTEST, and where it can melt, and make water go in the computer, and mess it up..

Are putting ice packs under laptops effective? To "COOL" down the computer (When they obviously AREN'T) Do they work? Does it harm the computer?

    Thank you.

  • Litterbox training our rabbits?

    Hey there,

We recently got our two rabbits, they share a cage and we let them run around the office for approx 3 hours... anyways, in the cage, they just poop or pee wherever they go, meaning they won't go into the corners, just in a random place. Any tips? I gathered a lot of their feces and put it in the litterbox, and the rabbits only go in it because it's comfy (my theory), but otherwise, it's basically everywhere they go to. (Automatic poop machines xD)

Anyways, hope you can provide information to help train them. I put hay and food in it too, to try to encourage to use the litterbox. So far no luck.

  • Which one of these two clinics seems better at spaying a rabbit?

There are 2 clinics that spay and neuter which one seems more reasonable to you? The first one, Animal Birth Control is located in Lomita near Torrance. (Which is 43 miles away!) And there is a clinic called Colima Animal Hospital. (5.7 Miles away) However, I'm really unsure because both are very different... I live in Diamond Bar and we are financially struggled, but I don't want cheap quality work either. Today I called them both and tested them with questions :

Animal Birth Control and Colima Animal Hospital Comparison:

ABC = Animal Birth Control CAH= Colima Animal Hospital

    - ABC: $100 CAH: $79

    - What anesthetics do you use? ABC: (Something and Isoflueorene together) CAH: Masking (What the crap is that?)

    - Does the veterinarian remove both the ovaries and uterus? ABC: Ovaries CAH: Ovaries

    - If we do the surgery, can we take them home on the day it is done? ABC: Drop 7:00AM, Get 3:00PM CAH: Like 9:00AM, Get 6:00 PM

BUT, The downside is that Colima Animal Hospital has bad reviews:

  • Why do humans...?

Most logical answer gets 10 points...--

Why do humans think it is down right gross and nasty when a person has sex with an animal (or different species), but people either find it funny or okay when, say, a rabbit humps a dog?

I already know why, but I want to see your answers.

  • Baby Bird, help?

Hello, recently, around 2 or 3 days ago the other person living with us found a baby bird, which I identified as a starling. I am still not sure, but it's the closest I found. It has a black tip at the beak, feathered, with wings, but recently 2 broke off. I feed it, but I am very concern about something since Starlings are nearly insectivores. I think her picking it up and taking it was a bad idea since it seem to be a fledging and she found it somewhere near a bush. I have no idea where the nest is, but there is one that is unused and I have not seen a bird use it or any chicks in that nest. If I leave it outside, my stray cat I am raising will possibly eat it since it hangs around all day. I don't want to raise it as a pet either, I know it should return to the wild. It is nothing a starling should be of right now, not playful, vocal (except when I put it in front of a window and other birds of the same kinds interact with it) active, etc. So I'm also worried about that..

  • Percentage of the meat-eaters consume that comes from animal cruelty?

I've seen many people say only very few slaughterhouses abuse the animals that people consume. So I'm wondering, what is the percent of meat people eat that comes from "bad" meat industries? I'm asking this just for reference.

PS: Please don't flame me about my eating lifestyle. I'm not looking for that right now. :)

  • Stray cat! Pet food?

Only on the 2nd day, did it trust me. I'm really honored.(Look at my recent question.) The time it was here,I inspected it. It was kind of skinny. It is an orange cat with 2 kinds of shades of orange. It is 1 ft wide, some 7 inches tall. I'm guessing it is an adult, or young adult. Anyways, it ate 2 and a half cans of salmon (really hungry from the lack of food) I need proper food to feed it. For all you cat owners, what brand and type of cat food do you feed? The cat , (which we called honey) seems to really like fish however, (s)he won't drink water. How can you make water tasty? I'm guessing that it didn't drink water for some time - it might not like it. My mom is fond of the cat, but tells me it holds germs. I need to convince it so we can somehow get it in the house - but we live with another family. Also, what does it mean if the cat keeps using objects to scratch its ear?Does it have fleas or mites? What breed is it? Should we use bedding?Take to the vet? What should I do? Help?

  • Will the cat come back here?

Well, yesterday night, I saw a stray cat. (Doesn't seem to have an owner, I've seen it some time ago too) We fed it some salmon and water. (I admit it, I'm a rabbit person. I don't know about cats very well) Anyways, do you think it'll come back for food again tonight?

  • What are some Animal safe (or homemade) glue / adhesives?

I'm making rabbit toys and I know that you can use honey/peanut butter as "glue", but I'm not too sure since they are thick (and peanut butter is made with nuts, something a rabbit shouldn't eat) and will smell (not too sure about honey). Do you know any homemade or store bought glue that is animal safe when they eat it?

(If it is homemade, how to you make it?)

    Thank you.

  • Horses - how much do they usually cost? Or the fee to adopt?

I live in LA (California) and I was wondering if you can adopt them, (the fee), and how much they cost. I probably will never get a horse, but I'm just asking.

  • Elmer's Glue - Is it toxic for rabbits?

Is it toxic? It says nontoxic, but I think that's just for humans. I like to make my own toys for rabbits, so I usually use Elmer's. If it is, what other glue isn't?

  • Did Nodame Cantabile stop airing?

It's been about two weeks (or one) ever since I haven't watched another episode of the anime series, Nodame. It usually comes out every Thurs. or Wed. every week with the latest episode, and so far I'm kind of worried...

    maybe they're having a special?

  • How to get rid of red veins in your eyes?

I'm not talking about a disease or an infection, I'm talking about the common red veins running through the eyes that almost everyone has. (What's the names of that, by the way?)

I used to have none, and I want to go back to it. You can't see it unless I turn my face left or right, but it still bugs me because I want to have none. I think some are permanent but I think it might go away if I use the computer much less.

I am currently trying to use the comp less, and sometimes if I rest , I wake up, and I think some go away. Or maybe that's just an illusion.

I don't want to have contacts or glasses (or any visual problems) and I can tell that the red veins are giving me a message.

I don't want to use ANY medications.. just any that is natural and safe.

PS: Does not using the computer help?

(I don't have any other electronical devices)

And if it does, can you provide me something that doesn't make me want to come online and use it?

    Thanks for your help!
