I've been struggling with depression for the past few years. A few months ago, I was hospitalized/committed for attempting suicide. My father was furious upon learning my intention to end my own life. He made it very clear that it would be a very selfish thing to do. I believe that is the only reason I am still alive today; for my family's sake, that is. I am eighteen years old, by the way.

I hate everything about myself. I hate how I look. I hate my mannerisms. I hate the way I walk. I hate the sound of my own voice. I hate the flesh embodiment of what I believe to be a waste of life. Most importantly, I hate who I am. No matter how much pain I may inflict upon myself, there is no ridding myself of my need for punishment. I do not deserve happiness.

The small portion of me that reaches for help is perpetually crushed by those who are confident that I simply need to "cheer up" and "not be so hard on myself". There are also those who are adamant that my current state is a ploy for attention. An ironic notion, in fact. There is nothing that I'd like more than to find a spot in this world where they cannot find me.

I see and hear things that nobody else seems to notice. I feel like the world is closing in on me. I need a way out, but logically, I know there is none. I cannot kill myself, but I don't know how much more of this I can take.

I am upgrading my laptop hard drive. I have searched for information concerning copying *everything* to the new drive, but most guides/programs are intended for desktop PC's with multiple drive bays. To be clear, I need the new drive to behave identically to the old drive in terms of operating system and files. What is the best way to do this?

My family doesn't know, and I don't want to tell them. I'm not sure if I should let them take me out or buy me things for my birthday since I'll literally get to use them for a week. On the other hand, it'll be nice for them to have some memories of me when I'm gone. What do you think?

I know I want to die...but I want to do it in a way that's slow, painful, yet "natural". I don't want to do something like shoot myself because I don't want anyone to have to see that. How long can I expect to live until the time finally comes? Note that I am drinking water still. What sort of symptoms/side effects can I expect?

This question could be a matter of opinion, but what do you think what the theme of the past decade (2000-2010)? For example, the 90's was the "grunge era".

I'm selling my 360 to upgrade to the new slim version. If I delete all my profiles from the console, is that all I need to do in order to make sure the buyer doesn't get hold of my information? Are there other places on the Xbox that store such information?

Sometimes I sit on my bed or the couch and play games on my laptop, but obviously a mouse doesn't work so well on soft surfaces. I was wondering if there was like a small, thin "platform" that would provide a stable surface to use the mouse on. Possibly with one of those squishy wrist rests would also be nice, but obviously not necessary. Please don't direct me to Google, because I did search for it. Thanks.

I only really know about Intel's line of processors, but since I am looking for a laptop, I was hoping someone could fill me in on which of AMD's processors are as good or better than Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors. Yes, I know there are many different types of i5's and i7's, but just give me a general idea. Thanks.

I'm looking at some gaming laptops, and the hardest part about laptops is finding one with a decent video card. I'm set on an Asus that sports the mobility 5870, but it occurred to me that the processor's core speed was only 1.6GHz. I realize this is quad core, but I just need to be sure that I'll be able to play most of everything I want. And no, I don't play Crysis. The most demanding thing I'd like it to be able to do is play Flight Simulator X. So, is this fast enough or will I need a faster core speed?

It's a 1994 SS model, and from what I've seen the engine compartment on the SS is slightly smaller than the standard. Currently I have the stock V6 4.3L Vortec, but from what I've read about them it's not going to last that much longer (131k miles). I want the most horsepower I can fit in the compartment without any major modifications. Again, I'm not looking at size, but horsepower.

Just throw out suggestions, I don't need a long speech about anything other than that. I'm aware that there are other ways to increase horsepower other than switching the engine. I'm fairly competent when it comes to cars, so don't worry about telling me anything other than what I'm asking.

I know you can use modded ralink drivers for linksys wireless adapters, but are there any out there that can use the real, linksys manufactured driver? Reason I ask is the driver causes blue screen errors from time to time, and it's beginning to annoy me.

I've read that you need experience in HTTP, which I learned quite a bit of (extremely easy stuff). Is there anything else I should look at to help me better understand flash programming? Do you know any good tutorials or websites that can give me a good start with flash? Thanks.

I didn't make any attempt to access these servers, I was simply placed onto one. I am now rank 70 where before I was rank 19. Will this get my account banned even though I had no intention of this? I'd actually rather them reset my rank, it's funner to do it the right way.

I found out that this girl that I know is schizophrenic, but she takes pills which make her "normal". I've never noticed anything odd about her except that she's quiet. I always thought it made people see things or hear voices, which I'm sure I can blame TV for. Is there "minor" cases of schizophrenia, and can it escalate as you age?

I've been giving it a lot of thought, and I play video games with this guy I've known for five years almost every friday. Is that weird? It's not like I don't have other friends, but it's pretty much every week with this guy. I don't play video games hardly at all during the week, I think this is why I'm willing to play these games week after week.

Again, do you guys think that's wierd? Be honest.

P.S. We don't just play games, we go see movies or do other fun **** out of the house too. We do however play a lot of games.

I enjoy mmo's a lot, but I'm so sick of the grinding levels. I've played Guild Wars, which must've been one of my favorite games of all time; that is, until it ran out of content. WoW was ok for a while but it quickly became boring, plus the grind sucked. Eve I play now, which isn't really a grind, but it's just not very good to be honest. I don't really feel involved in the game, like I don't seem to have much control.

I have high hopes for APB, are there any other mmo's that don't have a grind (or a long grind at least).

A common question I'm sure. I get nervous and will at times end up screwing the presentation up. I often practice my presentation many times in advance, but other than that how do you personally keep yourself from getting nervous while presenting?

My oven is self-cleaning, do I need to spray anything in it or do I just press the "clean" button?

I saw online that it only costs about 29$. Is the price that good in stores as well or is it an online only type deal?

He's male, yet he gets in really b**chy moods. Sometimes we'll be just sitting back having a great time and then I'll just hit some invisible nerve that sets him off. Yesterday, I think what set him off was telling him he ran a stop sign. I'm not sure. He's like a woman in the way that he doesn't really get upset or fight, he'll just get in his moods. He'll start criticizing everything I say and do. For example, when we pulled into his driveway he said he was feeling like he was going to throw up so I told him to run to the bathroom. He then stopped and took the time to say "Why would I run to the bathroom if I'm outside".

How do you deal with these people?
